What are some ways i can fight the climate change nuts?
Answer:
Remain calm with them and present the truth. That will debunk the lies of that crazed lunatic Al Gore and they won't be able to deal with it and will run.
The best way to fight climate change is to donate to either a well known charity, or a non-profit carbon offsetter. Websites like www.CO2Debt.com screen charities for efficiency and allocate donations to them. You can look for other carbon offset programs, but a lot of them are for profit, Co2debt.com is a non profit group.
You do realize that the green movement exists separately from Al Gore, Live Earth, and ill informed MTV generation pseudo environmentalists. Right?
There is no danger from the real green movement. The danger comes from reactionary stubbornness from those who think that Gore and Environmentalism are the same thing.
It's not the green movement, it's the Weird Al Gore movement. He's doing to this what PETA did to the animal rights movement.
Believe as you wish, but I am not buying any beachfront property.

Don't give up the fight. Even environmental activists can become enlightened:
Patrick Moore, Ph.D., served for nine years as president of Greenpeace Canada and seven years as a director of Greenpeace International. Of the five directors at G.I., he was the only one with a scientific background. He says many of his colleagues were not interested in cooperation and rejected consensus in favor of continued confrontation, ever-increasing extremism, and left-wing politics. "Environmentalism has become anti-globalization and anti-industry," Mr. Moore says. "Activists have abandoned science in favor of sensationalism.
He is highly critical of Greenpeace's campaign against biotechnology in general and genetic engineering in particular, which, he says, "exposes their intellectual and moral bankruptcy." Greenpeace activists in Paris successfully prevented him from speaking at a videoconference to the European Seed Association on this issue.
"I would have told the assembled that, if adding a daffodil gene to rice in order to produce a modified strain of rice that can prevent half a million children from going blind each year, we should move carefully to develop it," Mr. Moore says.
It is becoming clearer, however, that the environmentalists are essentially anti-science, anti-technology, and anti-human. One group, Optimum Population Trust, advocates having fewer children to lessen the carbon dioxide output. Environmentalists are halting mining projects in Romania, Madagascar, and Chile that would provide jobs and better living conditions for impoverished people now living in substandard, unhealthy environments with open sewers and outdoor toilets. These "greenies" spout about returning the Earth to a Garden of Eden while the natives die of malnutrition and disease.
Mr. Moore does not deny that the planet may be going through a warming trend, but he joins other scientists who are becoming more and more skeptical about humans being the principal cause. He left Greenpeace because he saw his colleagues abandoning science and logic and adopting zero-tolerance policies that are environmentally negative.
I say go green with Patrick Moore — or go gaga with Greenpeace."

Now, don't believe that you know everything. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater, the wheat with the chaff. Let's employ reason and work towards common, realistic goals. We should put more emphasis on renewable resources, and conserving/recycling our non-renewable ones. We should put in the effort now, even if results can't be reached in many generations, to move civilization towards the ability to self-sustain. That's pretty much what Earth does...
Speaking of ignorance, liberals are as ignorant as they come. The reason that people "deny" it is because it is not a real thing! First off, there have been many scientists in the past couple years who have proven that the sun goes into periods of brightness where its temperature increases and decreases periodically, therefore, the sun is currently in a cycle which is the reason that "global warming" is occuring. You may not know this but 20 years ago, the same people who now claim that global warming is presently occuring, claimed that we would be going into an ice age by the year 2000. Some people if not everyone knows about the Live Earth concert which is trying to raise awareness that global warming is happening...so in reality its just another gimmick to try to win votes for those Democrats who are always right about everything.
You mean nuts like these?
"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"
Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr. "I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
“With overwhelming scientific evidence that global warming is adversely impacting the health of our planet, the time has come for the Congress to take action.”
Senator Olympia Snowe, Republican, Maine
"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."
Russell E. Train, Republican, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford
"I agree with you (Gore) that the debate over climate change is over."
Rep. Dennis Hastert, Republican, Illinois
"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."
Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
Senator John McCain, Republican, Arizona
"I'm trying to learn [about greenhouse gases and global warming]. The more I learn, the bigger believer I become."
Senator Lindsay Graham, Republican, South Carolina
“DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate."
Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont
"Rep. Wayne Gilchrest asked to be on the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio refused to allow it unless Gilchrest would say that humans have not contributed to global warming. The Maryland Republican refused and was denied a seat.
Reps. Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.) and Vernon Ehlers (R-Mich.), both research scientists, also were denied seats on the committee. Normally, relevant expertise would be considered an advantage. In this case, it was a disqualification; if the GOP allowed Republican researchers who accept the scientific consensus to sit on a global warming panel, it would kill the party’s strategy of making global warming seem to be the pet obsession of Democrats and Hollywood lefties.
Why don't you just join them and become a "green nut" too. In the long run you'll be very happy you did. I'm old... i'm worried about what this planet will be like for my 3 and 6 year old grandchildren.
Hmm well considering that almost all the scientific evidence points to humans as the primary cause of global warming, so you can't use hard evidence.
The scientific consensus is that humans are the primary cause, so you can't use expert opinion.
Um, you can try using petty insults, ignorance, and misinformation. Those are the usual tactics of global warming deniers.
You can't! They don't pay any attention to you.
Don't worry too much, the stupidity will pass, like it did with the "hole in the ozone" remember that one? The best way I have found is just to slap them in the head with the truth, you know,
"How do i reduce my carbon foot print?"
answer: quite breathing
"how can I become more green"
Answer: The paint section at walmart
"what are you doing for GW"
Answer: Having a tire burning party, and laughing at you.
"DON'T CONSERVATIVES CARE ABOUT THE WORLD"
Answer " yeah, but we like our gas guzzling suvs better"
Hope this helps.
