Eviro friendly help?
Answer:
Stop buying any Aerasol can. Recycle everything.
Make compost out of food scraps and coffee grounds. If you have no garden, you could come up with a community garden and use the compost there or you could package it and sell it to others that have gardens and flower beds near you.
When you have to go somewhere and the next stop on your list is half a block away. walk to your next destination and back. You bwill get fit and save gas.
Buy a trash compactor. It will help save on trash bags and save the world from being polluted by more plastic.
Fix up old toys to look like new instead of throwing them away. Never is nothing wrong with hand-me-downs.
Recycle every bit of paper that is possible. Even paper towels can be dried and recycled. Store receipts. Throw them all together and put them in the paper bin.
Stop using City Water. To rid it of pollution they pour in a lot of Chlorine. They use more than ordinary water in City Water. They also use Sewer Water (It has to be). Why else use so much Chlorine. It is the same Chlorine (At least it smells like it) that is used in Bleach. Just think what it is doing to your insides.
use cloth napkins.
switch light bulbs to CFL.
turn the A/C up 2 or 3 degrees.
recycle newspapers/junk mail/plastics.
instead of buying bottled water, buy a brita filter and fill up reusable bottles.
borrow this book from your local library, the green book: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksea...
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Remember those TV ads in the '90s? :)
Reduce. Don't use more than you need, such as water, electricity, and fuel.
Reuse. Don't throw something away if it can be used again. Water bottles can be refilled, old CDs can be used as coasters, and plastic/paper shopping bags can be used many times.
Recycle. If you can't reuse something, try to recycle it instead of throwing it in the trash. Recycling materials reduces the amount of waste that goes to landfills, helps keep the air clean (no trash for the incinerators), and reduces the amount of resources we need to take from the earth.
By following the old "reduce, reuse, recycle" slogan, you're not only helping the earth, you're helping the people around you, too. Throwing something in a recycling bin also makes you feel better than throwing it in a trash bin. :)
Limit your consumption of everything.
This is the most effective, cheapest, best way to be friendly to the Environment. Even the smallest steps will make the biggest difference if everybody takes them.
Look for things that will return to the soil without trace. So take your own hemp or cotton bags shopping instead of using plastic bags for example.
Try only taking a few pounds and no cards with you every time you go out for a few weeks. Amazing how much more it makes you think about what you are buying. Similarly look at your household expenditure.
The cheaper your lifestyle the more environmentally friendly you are being. For example to walking versus driving.
Great that you are thinking about this. Good on you.
I suggest that you write down your daily activities... then think about them and how you could make each activity more earth friendly. For instance, brush your teeth--shut the water off while brushing. Shower-take a shorter one. Go to work or school--use public transportation, car pool with a friend, take a bike, walk. Lunch--bring it in reusable containers-don't use prepackaged items. It's easier for you to think of little things that added up make a difference.
On Planetpals.com there is a page called "Earthday Fast"

that inspires this kind of thinking! It's about doing what works for you--you don't have to be extreme. Every litter bit counts!
Bring your own bags to the store. I use Chico Bags. They can hold up to 20 pounds and fold up into a convenient little pouch:
