Yes..Global is warming, because we. the people are gatting cold hear.They know everything... We know about our environment. We know it may costly for us... but we are standing with closing our eyes.Every body think "this is not our job"! But know what, we have to stand for our world.
Time will tell. The VAST majority who say it is are only jumping on a bandwagon without doing any research into it themselves, because they're sheep and feel secure as a follower regardless of who's leading.
In the 1980s the BIG flapping panic was that we were entering a new ice age, plus there was also a HUGE flap about the 'ozone hole' - we don't hear about these things these days.
There's still valid evidence from all directions r.e. global warming (and cooling) and its causes and what to do - nothing is set yet - so people are just choosing their camps at the moment and backing the one that feels best to them. The main thing is not to panic.
Personally based on my own research I know the Earth itself is getting warmer and it's nothing to do with our emissions at all. Time will tell. The current Gore/EU/UN bandwagon is driven by commercial gain, power, and public control - that's the ONLY thing about this issue that IS certain!

Where the tropical zone was 48 degrees of latitude wide it is now less than 46.9 degrees or 2% smaller.This means the sun is directly overhead over an area reduced by 5,000,000 sq. km.This suggests the blow lamp theory would apply ,whereby, when the parameters of distance are reduced then the temperature within those parameters rises at a rate that is disproportionally greater than the rate at which the parameters are reducing. These rising temperatures are then radiated to the north and south temperate zones, which are increasing in area as the Arctic and Antarctic circles are also shrinking, but slightly faster than the tropical zone due to the platenation at the Polar regions.There are other factors but carbon emissions and mankind`s actions irritate the problems rather than cause them.
I dont have much to add, but, some ice caps are melting, which we hear alot about, but others are rapidly freezing, growing, which we dont hear about. There are lots of jobs and budgets that now DEPEND on the global warming myth. Will this nonsense frizzle out, probably, but it will raise taxes before it goes. Earth is 3+ BILLION YEARS OLD. If global warming is now, why is Australia having and abnormally cold winter. Why is the Tour de France bike rcae in summer having max of 18 degrees C. This is all bloody cold to me. A CSIRO scientist study ocean water temperatures for 20 years has found the water is warmer on the bottom. Also I have been told when an exploration drill hole through the ice in Antartica (1,000m of ice) the ice was melting on the bottom where it came in contact with the terra firma. So I think this emotional global warming is as serious as me peeing in the ocean so we pump it out then filter it, before we put the water back.
yes, but it is occuring quite naturally..you have to be a blind fool to reject that this is not somthing that has happened time and again throught the life of this planet. actually, the planet is now on the downside of the warming trend, 1998 was the hottest year, we have been cooling off since then..heck, it's july in st. louis and it's in the upper 70's and lower 80's! that's freaking awesome!! most years, it stays in the 90 even at night..

The latest study on global warming shows that we have actually been in a natural global cooling cycle since 1985, but the Earth's surface temperature is continuing to increase.
The proposition that the current rate of global warming is a direct result of solar activity just does not hold water any more. Although the latest study isn't absolute conclusive proof that CO2 emissions cause global warming, it is another nail in the coffin of the main alternative arguments.
There is massive amount of scientific evidence supporting the theory that human CO2 emissions are the major cause of the current trend in global warming, and this latest study shows that the arguments against it simply do not hold water any more.
What we should now be discussing is - what are we going to do about it?
To my mind government puts far too much emphasis at the moment on individuals taking up a low carbon life style. It's true that every little helps, but decisive action on switching to low carbon energy production and on reducing carbon emissions in transport and industry, in addition to using diplomatic pressure to encourage other countries to do the same, now needs to be taken by governments instead of attempting to shift the responsibility onto the public.
I think that "Global Warming" is more likely caused by the hot collars of the people debating it!
The truth is that we have no idea whether the Earth is in a cooling or warming cycle or even undergoing a small glitch.
It is totally useless in even discussing it because whatever the truth is, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that we can do to alter whatever course our planetary weather sytem is on. We just have to sit back and take it, whatever it is, just like previous inhabitants of the Earth have had to do in previous changes.
What IS happening is the usual loonies are predicting catastrophe, the idiots who decided it was OK to build on flood planes are getting nervous, the crooks are looking to make a fortune, the politicians are hoping to build their careers on it, governments will collect more taxes, insurance companies will increase their premiums, religious idiots will say their god is angry with us, the idiots will believe the hype, B&Q will try to sell useless wind generators to the idiots who will be conned into believing they can make a difference, millions of windmills will be built before the predicted climate change turns out to be a lack of wind for the next ten thousand years, Hollywood will conjure up more doomsday movies and pigs will be seen formation flying over Buckingham Palace!
Seriously folks, if mankind has managed to push the planet out of kilter over the past couple of hundred years, installing a wind genny on your roof will be like holding up a ping pong bat to stop an avalanche.
If we have been rolling the proverbial big snowball up a long slope, when it gets to the top and starts rolling back, it's return journey will be a lot shorter than its uphill one and will be unstoppable.

He has misrepresented the facts about the CO2 content of the Earth's atmosphere saying that CO2 is causing global warming, when it can be easily shown that CO2 changes always lag any global temperature change, not lead it. It's in the records for all to see!

Cosmic rays reaching our atmosphere create cloud. When the sun is active with solar storms, the storms repel the cosmic rays from reaching our atmosphere, which means little cloud cover so the sun heats us. When the sun is calm, loads of cosmic rays get thru and create loads of cloud. The big low clouds that we've seen alot of lately are dark on the bottom but bright white on top, and the bright white tops reflect the suns heat back into space, which cools us down. The sun is working it's way up to a solar maximum which is due somewhere around 2010-2012, after which it should calm down and we will cool down, possibly to a new mini ice age. Look up Maunder minimum in wikipedia.
