Gas to electric conversion?

I want to get a old junker of a truck, put a electric motor in, then line the bed with car batteries, do you know where I could find instructions or some guidance for this?? (web sight prefered)

Answer:
Cool! Thousands of people have done this. Make sure you start with a car you're going to love, that has decent body and interior.

A common trick is to hang the batteries under the truck bed, and have a "tilt-up" bed for easy access to the batteries.

Hi,
Right here:

Jerry's Electric Car Conversion and the book Build Your Own Electric Vehicle are both very good, very detailed, and very hands-on.
