Why does Al Gore resort to lying in his movies if global warming is really such a crisis.?

It is for the same reason that he avoids debates or even meeting scientists that disagree with him. He knows he would get shellacked. I think Al is ready for a rubber room and he probably does think he is going to save the world just as he invented the internet. For those who think the sky is falling because our climate is moderating are either gullible, paranoid, or simply ignorant in my opinion.
It seems a little unfair to believe he is lying, he is trying to cause awareness to a serious , yet, controversial issue. He could be speaking theoretically, and it is almost unbelievable to know that the world will be not be how we know it now, if we are not more conscious of our usuage of it's natural resources...i think we should take some validity to his argument, and take into consideration that he has been a firm believer, an advocate for global warming.

Without facts to support your supposition that Al Gore is lying, I have no choice but to conclude you are lying.
How is he lying? We need a little more of a lead into this.
I always am amazed that people really come down on Al Gore because of his global warming campaign. Oftentimes, these are the same people who were convinced that there was a link between 9-11 and Saddam (this has been well disproven). I would love to get an answer on why these folks are so selective. They'll believe in one threat but not another. Why?

Al Gore recently started a company that sells worthless carbon credits to gullible rich people who want to live in large mansions and fly private jets without feeling guilty about all of the fossil fuel they are wasting.
Al Gore will make hundreds of millions of dollars from this venture.
Essentially Al Gore's movie is very effective advertising for Al Gore's new enterprise of selling worthless carbon credits to gullible rich people.
Even Al Gore does not believe global warming is such a great danger.
Al Gore lives in a huge mansion that uses more electricity in one week than I use in one year. Al Gore flys on private jets that use more fossil fuel in one day than I use in my car in one year.
Al Gore flys private jets to environmental meetings where he scolds the rest of us for wasting gasoline because we drivie our cars to work and our children to school.
If Al Gore honestly believed in Global Warming, he would not live in an enormous hard to heat mansion, and he would not fly all over the place on private jets.
Knowingly misleading = lying
Scientific method does not rely on popularity of hypotheses.
Anyone interested in scientific truth does not try to omit facts in order to persuade - that's the TRULY "inconvenient" truth.

It's not that he is lying, but he is promoting media control over the mass population. Media tends to do this time and time again(SARS, Killer bees, fire ants, bird flu, etc..) and global warming seems to be the new topic.
Take everything that the media and Al Gore says with a grain of salt. We haven't enough data to accurately determine that we are the cause, besides we are all gonna die anyway-extinction happens. Please research the crap on global warming, and not just the liberal media views but look at science and all other sources of information on the warming effect.
The earth was here long before humans, and it survived. The earth will be here long after we die out. The only real data we know for certain is that humans will become extinct.

I have heard that some of his facts are, hehe, a little over the top. @_@ However, I do think that it really ISN'T fair to say that everything he says is a lie because that's just, well, a bit stupid.
Scientists have confirmed things in his movie, but have also proved false other things in his movie. So, I wouldn't say it's a total and complete bogus movie. There are some very true facts in his movie.

So basically he has to lie to make the issue seem harmful so you can solve it, meaning buying carbon credits from him.

Even is he is not telling the whole truth, you must give him credit for going out there and trying to help raise awareness on global warming. Think if he did not lie, most people would not have even know of this movie. Think of all the publicity that he received and awareness that was brought up because of a few indiscretions.

Over time it will probably be followed by a cooling, which in turn will be followed by yet another warming and so on. There is nothing to panic about. The world as we know it will not end. We are not all going to perish as a result of this warming trend. Just about everything we understand to date has a pattern. This wave pattern occurs often in nature, including ocean waves, sound waves, and light waves.All of these can be graphed or illustrated with a sine wave, and as a result can then be monitored and analyzed. In the case of global temperature we just don't have enough accurate data yet to ''plot'' a pattern which would help us predict coming changes. Don't forget, the only accurate recorded data we have dates back only about 100 years, everything else is just theories and guesswork.
Most of it is just the liberal's media stirring things up. For example, if the polar ice caps are melting the why after only forty years in the Arctic did they find a squadron of air planes 250 feet below ice?

I know the oceans are dying and hey here's just one fact for you to think about if you can if the U.S dumps 300 million tons of battery waste into the U.S every year what do you think this does to the earths core? The last time that I knew, facts were not lies. I saw that movie and I agree with everything in it. It is hard to deny facts. He has everything that he needs to prove that global warming is happening.

What in the movie is a lie? It is a known, documented, scientific fact that global warming is causes manychanges in our world today. It is also a known, documented scientific fact that the emissions put in tthe air from cars, factories, coal burning products, etc. have created an ozone layer which is the major factor in global warming. It is also a documented fact that those that the cars made in the United states are slow to change to a low emission fuel burning car.
It is also a documented fact that the winters are warmer and the summers hotter. When I was growing up in the Chicago area, there used to be many days where the temperature was zero or below( before the wind chill factor). Now, it is very rare if the temperature drops to zero. This change that is happening is due to global warming. It is a documented that lake waters are receding and there is becoming more and more beach land.
So what are you talking about when you speak of Al Gore lying? Is he lying or is it that you refuse to believe the truth of what is happening in the world today
because to him it is more about keeping his face in The public eye rather than doing good.
