Why 50 degrees in S.W. Va. with GLOBAL WARMING?

I live in s.w. va. and it was only 50 deg. f. this morning 07-21-07. normal nite time lows are about low 70's for july&august. I thought GLOBAL WARMING was in affect?

Answer:
James said he was from southwestern West Virginia and there is a big difference between that an VA. About twenty years and a whole lot of IQ numbers. If he woke up and saw two rabbits in the yard he would be asking if Noah was coming by to collect them for the boat.
One cold day in VA doth not a global trend make. Short term weather variations have little effect on the long term climate. I can't deduce that because it rained today in Texas I live in a rain forest.
That is why it is called GLOBAL WARMING and not VIRGINA ON JULY 21ST IN THE MORNING WARMING.

Local effects vary greatly and have only long-term average relationships to the entire global condition.
Global warming has nothing to do with daily temperature fluctuations, rather the yearly averages, the melting of the polar ice caps and the the temperature increase of the oceans.
Don't believe everything the politicians try to sell you - start observing reality
The others are right. You can have one cool year in a warm decade, just like you can have one cool day in a hot summer. It is the long term average that counts, not one month in one place. And the person who says not to listen to politicians is right too. Listen to REAL scientists. And don't just listen. Learn the math and science and use your own mind to make an intelligent decision.
It is called global warming...not local warming. How about you do a little actual research on the subject before you post such nonsense.
Same reason it's 100 degrees in Europe, California, Florida. Same reason the UK is affected by the worst floods in it's history and Australia is in the grip of a drought - it's the weather.

Global warming increases temps imperceptibly slowly, a small fraction of a degree each year. The changes in the weather from one year to the next are small, there'll still be cold and hot spells, dry and wet periods etc. If there was no global warming then it would be even colder where you are.
