Many people are working to better the environment. Just support them, and make your own decisions wisely. Fight those who don't by not buying products from them, but don't get too upset. Put your energy into thinking positivly about helping the environment, and try to reduce negative thoughts.
By the way, the idea that most scientists said we'd have cooling in the 70s is the myth. It was just a few guys with no data and no backing from any major scientific organization, like the scientists who deny global warming today.

Nothing except that there isnt anything wrong with them. The idea that we are destroying the planet is a myth. It is a political trick that you have been suckered with. In the 70's we were all told that the next ice age would be here by the year 2000. I am still waiting.
