Gotta ask this question?

I wonder how many people will reply to this, I just answered some guys question about missing products in stores and it kinda stuck in my head. How many of you out there wish the stores sold more unscented, natural products without all this scented garbage and chemicals in them to make the scents? The asthma rate of children and adults has skyrocketed because we shouldnt' be breathing all this garbage. Who else agrees?

Answer:
I totally agree.

I also found out that many "unscented" or "fragrance free" products still have scents in them. There are no government regulations on natural or chemical fragrances and how they are used. Manufacturers can say the scents are other ingredients like moisturizers, emulsifiers, or preservatives.
I only buy unscented detergents and make my own cleaning products because I don't want my family exposed to all those chemicals(poisons).
What sort of products do you want? For cleaning most can be found in your kitchen cupboards (I use vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice etc), Cleaning items can also be found In your garden; use sweet scented herbs (I use sage, lavender, rosemary, thyme etc) or essential oils. Citronella deters insects, lavender is antiseptic and disinfectant etc.

Use vegetable oil or pure beeswax for furniture. Pop a small piece of cotton soaked in Eucalyptus or lavender in your bag less vacuum cleaner to freshen carpets and scent a room. Use beeswax candles for bags and shoes.

For beauty again I use essential oils, pure additive free coconut butter is very cheap, it makes a great heavy moisturizer, olive oil is generally good for your skin. Then there are also loads of food items such as oats, almonds, avocados etc for face packs, hair and skin treatments. I never put anything on my skin that I would not be prepared to eat.

For clothes washing use eco balls - no washing powders or fabric conditioners and line dry. If you need soap, then soda crystals.

Again coconut butter is great for dry hair as is olive oil but there are plenty of fragrance free soaps and shampoos if you really want them just have a look in your local health food store.

My medicine chest contains mainly of essential oils and Witch Hazel which is great for burns, scrapes, skin infections etc. You don't need to spend loads of money. Buy a few essential oils in small quantities these are better as they do not go off.
It would be nice, and there are brands that are available, although they are mostly found in alternative stores like Whole Foods, Wild Oats, etc... You don't find them in mainstream stores so much due to cost, many people like the cheapest stuff available.
now that i think about it, i do! most of those products have sickening smells anyway.
I agree 100%
who's to blame, the manufacturer produced this because there is a demand for them, by people who are not allergic to it, by those who find comfort or satisfaction with them.
