Do you know if "Environmentology" is really a word?

Answer:
If your definition of a "word" is if it is in the dictionary...then no. But acceptance into the dictionary is sometimes slower than the speed of a living language. To me a word is that which conveys meaning, is that's the case "environmentlogy's meaning is clear.

It is listed in the enclopedia, although it references the accepted term: Environmental Science.
That is not a real word. It can be used, but most people just use the easier form which is "Enviromental Science".
Just by looking at the word it actually means "Study of the Envrionment". I did go to a website and this was what they had to say:

The Definition of Environmentology

Environmentology is defined as "a systematized science whose purpose is that human beings control their activities suitably in the limited Earth." The following is the reason. The Earth, the basis of our lives, is limited. However, recently human activities have explosively increased, and environmental destruction and pollution have been becoming serious. Also, it is seriously feared that man-made climate changes and the exhaustion of underground resources will happen in the near future. Therefore, we have to control our activities suitably in the limited Earth.

Hope this helps!

No the study of the Environment is called Ecology
not environmentology
I am not 100% certain, but I think that it is not a word.
If you can say it, it is a word. It may not be an official/real/accepted word, but it is a word (by definition).

That is like saying: "Is this word a word?"
i haven't heard of such a term.. use environmental science instead.. it's more appropriate :-)
Yes, it is a real word.
