Shedded credit cards recycling?
Answer:
I have been in the recycling industry for quite some time and it does not matter if you mix it and you will not be in any trouble, all of your garbage gets sorted before it is baled. I mean everything gets sorted it's amazing how it is sorted. It normally goes to a material recycling facility or MRF.There is a large MRF in Tidewater,Va . I sell self service shredding kiosk that you can shred your personal papers, credit cards,cd's,dvd's etc. all for about $2.00 for two minutes it will shred upto 400 pieces of paper, check it out at www.realtimeshredding.com
I don't know about getting in trouble, but it would not be good to put the pieces of plastic in with paper recycling.
credit cards are plastic and its not okay to put it in the same bin as paper recycling
There are people that hand sort paper (taking out such things as credit cards, pizza boxes (because of contamination), etc. It's a dirty job and they wear bunny suits!
I am not sure if you can cut them up and add to your bottle recycling as plastic...call your city and ask that.
Wouldn't it be great if someone could creat a new "shredded credit card carft". You see all those animals made out of old soda cans etc.
I would not put the whole credit card in there because people can get your credit card number off of it and use it online. I always put half in one and then do half in another one on a different day. Then you know you will be safer.
na i wudnt add the credit card bits...who knows what clever person is out there who wud it n put em bk 2gether!?!?
