How do you germinate seeds?
Answer:
get a plate and boil some water letting it cool for down to room temperature and mix a little bit of soil with the water and then soak 3-4 paper towels with the water and lay them on the plate then lay the seeds down on the plate and you should get the root of the seed to stick out within 1-4 days depending on what kind of seed it is.

A great deal depends on what kind of plant you are growing. Some seeds need to be soaked in water before planting. Others need very warm soil temp. to germinate (like corn). Planting depth is very important. Too shallow or too deep will cause poor results. If your seeds came in a packet, there should be instructions on how to plant them.
If you are germinating seeds to eat, like alfalfa or broccoli, just wash them well and place between damp paper towels in a clean jar.
Get some 100% PURE COTTON CLOTH SOAK THE CLOTH IN WATER AND PLACE THE SEEDS INSIDE, MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE CLOTH MOIST UNTIL THE SEEDS START TO GERMINATE
Keep them wet and provide a place for the roots to grow into, like a wet cloth maybe OK, then put it all in a slightly warm place. The top of a water heater can be about the right temperature.
To germinate for planting later, the paper towel trick is okay...I personally like to put seeds in a small Dixie cup with soil and cover with Saran Wrap, making sure soil is damp. This creates a miniature greenhouse and also allows you to plant later on just by cutting ogg the Dixie cup. Good luck and God Bless
Get a paper towel damp.
Put a few seeds inside.
Place in a plastic bag (i.e. sandwich bag)
Check them daily. You should see something in a couple of days depending on what you're trying to plant.
If you want to watch the action happen, try this variation. Use clear plastic cup (you can use and re-use)Fold paper towel so that it lines the inside of the cup along the sides. Place a seed, or seeds between the cup wall and the paper towel, and add water to the cup. Keep the water lever well below the seed. The towel will pipe the water to the seed and you can watch it root and sprout.
