Global warming question for those who believe it does not exist?

The jury is still out as far as I am concerned when looking at all of the numbers, but what is wrong with being environmentally conscious? Why not reuse bags to reduce landfill waste? Why not use fluorescent lightbulbs? Why not plant a couple extra trees? Drive less? Plant water resistent plants? Use solar panels on your house? Turn your thermostat up a couple of degrees to save some money? Use less pesticides and herbicides? Protect our watershep? Take shorter showers?
I may not believe in the theory of global warming, but I do believe in clean air and water.

Answer:
I do all of those things and I am looking into solar panels for my house. Global warming is pseudoscience that will fade away like many others. The problem is that too many people are pushing right now and it is apart of many political agendas, so it will take a while longer.
because thats no fun!
There's nothing wrong with any of those things. If you want to do them, go right ahead. Its none of my business how much you drive - I'm not paying for your gas, so I really don't care.

I, myself, may or may not choose to do some or all of those things too. But I don't beleive that global warming is caused by humans.
I have no problem with people like you who admit that the jury is still out. You sound like a reasonable, thoughtful person. I do have a problem with people like Al Gore who demand that there is a "consensus" and that the time for debate is over and derides anyone who questions the science of computer modeling.
There is nothing wrong with conserving natural resources.

Just don't tax me into submission Mr. Gore!!!!!
its not about whether or not we should do those things you list, its about whether or not we need a federal government big enough to force us to do those things.

Yes I try to be environmentally conscience, for myself, but no I do not fully support the "doomsday" that many predict. The climatic patterns of this planet through its geologic history support warming and cooling trends. So yes global warming very well may be happening, through merely cyclical climate patterns.but who or what is the cause? Who's to say.
I agree with you. I don't want pollution and I try to save energy because it reduces my bills. I also believe that global warming is a natural event and that we have virtually no influence on the climate. I don't think anyone fully understands the causes of climate change, although many on this site claim to.
I do use CFLs. I do recycle, and reuse quite a bit. I have plants surrounding my house. I installed fans and run my AC temp rather high in the summer and low in the winter, as long as I'm confortable.

Now solar panels take 8 years or so to pay off (longer for me because I don't use as much), so unless I plan on staying for 10+ years, I'm not going to invest in something I probably can't sell for so much.
Pesticides and herbicides--I like my lawn.
I do try to combine trips in my vehicle, but I am going to travel, it's fun.
Shorter showers... only if I don't have the time.

There is a difference between conservation and environmentalism. There wasn't a while back, but now the greenies are just plain wacko. Conserve, but don't tell me I'm evil because I like some fun, because I'm sure you do environmentally "bad" things to have fun as well. Otherwise, you wouldn't be using a computer for something so frivilous as asking this question.
