Why is it so hard to believe?
Global warming is happening but why are there so many people that just ignore the facts and don't do anything to help the planet?
fine even if the earth is going through a change and we aren't doing it shouldn't we still realize that all the CO2 we create isn't helping anybody and the earth won't go through a change that quickly and kill so many innocent species
either way humans will suffer from these consequences in so many ways
why don't people just quit being stubborn and help the earth, animals and humans?
Answer:
You'll find the resistance comes because people are afraid of change.
Now I don't know whether global warming is as serious as someone like Al Gore says... but I know quite clearly that we need to take care of our environment. Also that we need to start proving once again that we can come up with new technologies.
It's the 21st century... why are we still living in 19th century style.
The world is awash with clean, efficient energy. What's wrong with moving ahead, global warming or not?
Oh yeah... the old money is oil and coal money and they don't want us to change... I keep forgetting about that part.
its a good question.i'll deal with it later...
get it?:)
It's just hard to change your mindset... and let's face it- nobody likes to think of the world suffering. but we do have to face the facts and do something to help. I agree with you fully!
Selfish, inconsiderate, indifferent, not my problem, attitude.
Since even you in your own question in a round about way point out that the science isn't even close to perfect, and most of what is thought to be fact by believers in this scam has no real science to it, I ask you a question.. What is the Earths ideal temperature? And for those of us that understand that the change is most likely caused by a cycle what is the real harm, and don't feed me some Al Gore crap. I guarantee that not one of the predictions in the models used will be true. Also if you do your homework you will see that many of the same people were talking about the next ice-age in the 70's.
MANKIND IS GENERALLY SELFISH, SELF INDULGENCE AND SATISFACTION IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IN ALL AREAS OF PERSONAL LIFE. PLUS WE ARE TRAPPED BY OUR OWN INVENTIONS AND IMAGINATION,(DEVICES THAT WE CREATE FOR CONVINENCE SAKE.)
I beg to differ a bit. What is happening is people are refusing to face the facts that this is not all man-made, and demagogues and the very rich and ruthless are trying to take the common people for an expensive ride.
Those favoring blaming mankind are ignoring facts, consistently. Such as:
1. The large companies are using "carbon credits" to bulldoze the jungle and those in it into oblivion. Which of you has raised a finger anywhere to save the jungles and the people in them? Which of you cares that scientists do not know what cures for the ills of the world lie in these jungle plants and animals that these greedy industrialists with the help of the Consensus people are eliminating forever RIGHT NOW with the bulldozer? Thousands of whole species, ROAR,...and gone forever.
Al Gore supports this,,,more carbon credit money is his pocket!! But what a price mankind, the little guys, pay. Some with their lives.
2. Do any of you care that there is DELIBERATE distortion of the data to make it look like man is to blame? I speak of the deliberate refusal to consider the historical evidence of climate change before mankind was emitting "Greenhouse Gases" in quantities significant. It helps to prove the Consensus' case if you eliminate "Inconvenient Truth" from the computer inputs!! Do YOU want to have us make world-changing decisions on data that is obviously altered and so obviously incorrect?
3. Which is easier? To lose your freedoms that our forefathers fought so valiantly and at such expense to give us, and bow the neck to the politicians who will pass laws on all aspects of our lives, and are supported by the large corporations whose goals are money at any costs.
OR
To reject tyrany by the intellectual politicians combined with BIG business and work in our own ways to find the facts, separate them from the factoids, and make the world better. And stay a free people.
And from which scenario are we likely to emerge as a free and happy world??
4. Historically, the global warming periods we have hard evidence on seem to show economic growth, times of plenty, living a "good" life. As you I am sure know, MORE CO2 in the atmosphere makes plants grow faster, bigger and healthier. So agriculture will produce more food. And we use less artificial heat, to boot. It will be good for helping the now starving in the world.
We could even set up staggered hydroponics systems to take advantage of the higher CO2 and longer, warmer growing seasons.
There are more little details, but what philosophy makes the world better, and which makes it worse. What do you say?
What does History say?
Mine says Mother Earth has taken us on these rides before, and we have not only survived, but advanced for them.
And if you wish, bring back the belching smokestacks, the dust in the atmosphere cools us down lots. Proven!
But who of you cries for the blood of those bulldozed and evicted so a Megacorp can squeeze out the last dollar fast as possible?
Do you?
Meow, you must have patience. These changes will take a long, long time. This is all new to most people. Many people in countries around the world do not even yet know what it is all about. They are more concerned with their day to day survival and making a living.
The relative cause / effects of CO2 is still in the theory stage. We don't yet even know what changes in levels can be made. For example, lets say today we all decided to ditch our big cars and get only cars that got 60MPG, and we decided that anyone building a house with over 200 square foot per person would be punished. These major life changes would take years to accomplish and would only reduce the CO2 output by about 10%. Will this reverse the effect? We don't know. I use this example to to show the magnitude and complexity of the problem.
If global warming is a fact then why do people cite only the last 1000 years. The earth was warming for the 10000 years previous to the industrial revolution. You don't see glaciers all over North America do you?
That said higher CO2 concentrations will increase the growth rate of plants.
I for one think we should try to lower all emissions for the health of the planet but it is now sexy because it is a great way to raise funds.
Just because global warming might not be man made doesn't allow you to pollute without concience though.
Species disapear because habitats change. Many animals disapeared 10000 years ago because their habitat disapered. The earth is a dynamic ecosystem so some animals will become extinct as the earth changes. But then some will take over and expand.
Besides the earth will fry in 4 billion years and there will be no life as we know it.
I hear that!

It's hard to believe because there are very few real facts.
Most of the projections we read are 90% assumption and 10% fact.
