Who else thinks that Environmental Music Concerts create more pollution than if there were no concert at all?
Madonna for example owns a massive petrol guzzling car. I know she has been given an electric car, but I bet after a while, when the novelty has gone she will go back to her other car.
It's like all these celebrities just do environmental things to create more fame and fortune for themselves. They earn so much money, and spend it on cat and dog furs from China, or hair extensions from Poor families in India. It's disgusting. People should be naming and shaming every single one of them.
Answer:
Finally someone who feels the same as I do. I really feel that charity in general is now something done in order to receive something back as opposed to doing it out of the kindness of your heart. Sadly it has become trendy. I guess even though it's trendy you feel like at least its getting done. Funny thing is that all these people who are millionaires and billionaires are donating like one million or a few hundred thousand. It's almost as if it hurts them to give it away. People really need to rethink everything. Those jimmy choos could wait. why not feed starving families in africa instead.
I do! Imagine the carbon emissions from all the crowds of people, the musicians with all their entourage and equipment, not to mntion the hot air coming out of their mouths!
Yes all those people helping reduce CO2 emissions by watching TV. You cant get better than that!
The fact that people are talking about the Environment is proof that gigs like this help. More power to them for getting it in the headlines.
I prefer the stars who preach making a difference and don't to the stars who don't preach or do anything.
hey its like 2 ways here.. they did make people aware of the dangers happening and everything and yeah hats off to em! but thr was such a huge amount of electricity used not only by them but by the millions and millions of ppl who sat at home and watched.. I had sent Kelly Clarkson a mail whn she was hosting At40 but they replied with some crap...
I completely agree. That was my first thought when i heard about the LiveEarth concert stuff. I am an aspiring environmentalist myself, but I have a long way to go. I was outraged when I saw confetti fall at the concert, hello, doesn't that defeat the purpose. Also, I am a KT Tunstall fan, but her only piece of advice was "Unplug your cell phone chargers and eat more dirt." I just hope that the musicians really believed in their cause. I am happy that all the money raised at the concert will be going to alternative energy research, but I hope "going green" will become more than a fad. At least, something is happening though and people are beginning to change their minds and at least give a thought to their actions. We have come a long way.
Theyre a waste of time thanks
Yeah! it was just another music concert after all.
