The other evening, I watched bands preformming for the environment?

This one lady was telling all of the different things that "people" could do to "save" energy. Thats just plain NUTS!! I agree with her with what she was saying, very good ideas indeed. However, there are a lot of people, and MOST of these people are NOT going to comply. I think it depends on how a person was raised. If a child isn't taught proper right from the get go, society "feels" and pays for it later. I always pick up beer bottles, pop cans. If I knew where the rotten @%# lived, I'd place it on there lawn, or step!

you are right. I have two sister-in-laws who were both raised in chicago, who never recycled. Now they live in the burbs, and they still don't recycle because they aren't used to it... i get upset with them everytime i see them throw plastic water bottles away that they buy from sam's club.. and of course they drink 2-3 bottles at a time!

I get sick of the Elitist telling me what I should do and they would never think of doing any of it them selves. It would be so beneath them just to fly on one plane to this show together or take a bus from the airport. It could have been a very nice one.

They want to tell me to turn off my A/C in the summer and turn down my heat so much i can not tell if am out side or in. At the same time they keep a heated pool warm year round in their many homes that they may only stay at each one 60 days a year.

I recycle because it works. I don't drive because I don't feel I need to. I don't have a heated pool, or any pool at all. I think some people get it, and others don't.

I think eventually the environment will be thoroughly screwed, and then all the people who resisted changing one tiny thing about their lifestyles will blame the environmentalists for not trying harder to convince them.
