That's completely illogical. "Global warming advocates" want to slow global warming so that it doesn't result in harmful climate change for the human species (and others) in the future. Why would we advocate harming humans in the present to prevent harming humans in the future?
I think you've got the cause right, but the cure is a little draconian, don't you think? The best long-term fix for humanity's woes is fewer humans. If we had a small, but persistent downturn in the birth rate, so that the world population shrunk by 1% each year for the next 30 years, imagine the change we'd have over time.
You have been asigned the task, and told to start with your own family, can you kill your mother, brother, or daughter. I think not. Death sqauds are never the solution to anything.
If we want to PROTECT HUMANS AGAINST Global Warming and the dire effects predicted, it is simply because WE LOVE HUMAN BEINGS !
No matter who they are, we were put on the same planet. We just have different explanations on who and why we were put there. But the fact is we share it... and manage this pretty poorly.

So why don't people fighting the spread of AIDS advocate huge massacres in Africa, where some countries' populations are over half infected? Such an atrocity would certainly lower disease rates, if efficient enough.

I think it is great that you volunteered to be first and set an example for the good of the world. Is this to be a televised event or do we have to take your word for it? If that works for you I think you should do that. Myself, I think there is plenty of room on the planet. Take a cross country flight and look at the empty spans of land in the USA. What we need to do is find ways of creating energy with out destroying the world we live on.
Solar works for me. Wind can help somewhat. Geothermal is a no brainer. I am wary of disrupting the tidal events without a thorough investigation. I also wonder about tens of thousands of wind generators on our hill tops and the effect it will have on not just the air currents but the visual pollution too.
We once thought the forests were inexhaustible and now we can't find many species of hard and soft woods once native to N.A. We thought the whales were inexhaustible too. The oil deposits endless. There are countless examples of humans rushing into using the planet in unwise manners. The sooner we research the possible energy sources the sooner we will know if we are cutting our own throats or energizing the planet.
