Do you think this is wrong?

the state of oregon is exterminating 2500 or mountian lions and kittens, illegaly. there is not enough support to stop this. if you feel it is wrong please take my link to the page that tells what is happening. on that page you can sign a petition. please sign the petition to stop the senseless slaughter of these majestic animals. they have as much right to live in peace as we do. thank you for your support.

There is generally a good reason for exterminating wild animals, it isn't just senseless slaughter. Is there enough food for them? If not, will they die of starvation or will they encroach into populated areas and lunch on children? Are they diseased? If so, could these diseases spread to other animals? How many other animals might die as a result of 'saving the cougars'? If some animals become too numerous, it throws the entire balance out of whack. This is why we have game wardens, etc. Let them figure it out. But one thing is for sure, these people love nature, and don't make decisions to massacre the animals for no reason. They work on population control to benefit all animals, not just one group.
Check it out before running on emotion.
