Carbon neutral question?

Gday, with all the talk about carbon neutral, I was wanting to know say there is 1100 employee's at my work driving a approx 10km per day in 6 cylinder car, how many trees would need to be planted to offset the carbon produced of driving to work.

Answer:
not enough info to answer your question.
First, we would need to know what kind of car, and what the mileage is.
Then we would need to know the emissions of each car per mile.
We would also need to know if all 1100 employees where driving by themselves, or if they were car-pooling.
We would also need to know the size and age of tree you are referring to, because age and size of the tree does matter considering the average tree remediates about 1.7X of CO2 than their dry wieght in cellulose.
So the amount of trees you need would vary according to their size, which reflects their dry weight in cellulose.
You would need to plant exactly 821 trees everyday to be carbon neutral. I think Al Gore would prefer for you and your mates to send him a check for a lot of money. Al owns the company that sells those carbon offset credits, you know.
