Buying carbon credits from environmental groups so that you can continue to pollute is like paying off PETA so that you can keep on clubbing baby seals.
You have to wonder who is worse, the person clubbing the seals to make a living selling fur or the folks selling out the principles they pledge to uphold to make a fast buck...seals are still getting killed.
...actually, I know who is worse in both situations!

Carbon credits are a joke. Real environmental changes, and energy saving practices, are not.

NO, and if he doesn't get a clue soon, the backlash is going to finish him off. You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all of the time.
I care about the environment and I readily admit we need to do more protect our ecosystem.
Now I'm not going to say Al Gore doesn't care about the environment, but at the end of the day he's a politician who serves special interest groups that are not very honest.
So when Al Gore speaks, you must remember that one simple fact, he's a politician who has another agenda(s).
