First of all the extensive damage that Katrina caused WAS because of Global Climat Change. The incremental rise of water temperatures in the Atlantic and Carribean were the reason why Katrina was as destructive as it was.

how is it a money making scam? the govt doesn't want to except global warming because it will mean losing money - but it's not like there's one source where all that money will go that is making up this theory. i do believe that for every 1 or 2 degrees or something that the earths temp rises the ocean rises 10 or 15 feet. SO, it actually DOES say something. they have proof that it's real. it's not a conspiracy.
In the last 1000 years the temp has risen also on Mars, now the last time i looked Mars did not have Power stations, Humans, Cars!!

I think there is something to global warming. In MN Lake Superior is down 2 feet. 2 feet! Do you know that Lake Superior is the largest fresh water supply in the world? There have been more record heat waves in the country in recent years, and warmer winters. I know all of you republicans cant believe in global warming, but I really think its something that is happening.

No, Global Warming is real. Glaciers are melting, as are the ice caps. However, I don't think Humans are the cause. The Earth goes through cycles, and we're going through a warm cycle at the moment. Maybe at the end of it, we'll have another ice age. Whatever, it's all ok. We need to be good stewerds of our planet, because it's all we have, but that doesn't mean everything that happens to it is because of us.

I think I would agree. Spy cameras in the dustbins and heavy fines for putting the wrong rubbish in the wrong bin. Hosepipe fines. fewer rubbish collections, massive fines for not using a registered waste official. Houses being built in flood areas and gardens being concreted over are our biggest nightmare. who's making money off it? the people in severe drought out west and in australia? the city of new orleans destroyed by a major hurricane? what harm could possibly come from living cleaner? aren't people making far more money opposing climate change? exxon/mobil made a shitload of money last year, how much did you spend on gas? do you know anything about the history of our planet? do you not care at all if the human race is wiped out in 50 years? do you not hold yourself at all accountable for your part in protecting your fellow humans and future generations? there's a lot more to climate change than a rise in temperature that appears insignificant-but if that's your opinion, then you wouldn't mind turning your A/C down a couple degrees.

Our plan started back in the 1960's when scientists first began reseraching global warming... we thought, "HEY, wouldnt it be great to trick people into thinking that vaporizing coal and oil would SOMEHOW pollute the atmosphere?" I mean, it's a stretch to think that hundreds of billions of automobiles would have ANY effect on the environment, BUT luckily there's people who actually believe us!! How stupid are they?! MUWAHAHAHA!

It's been 50 years and although we haven't figured out where the profit is in all of this lying , it's gotta be there somewhere, right? Global warming is real enough, but a lot of bullshit get talked about it. The mis-informed run around shouting ' The poles are melting!' Of course they are. We are still coming out of ice age and until we do and the whole process starts again they will continue to melt. The question is - are they melting too quickly?It is very difficult to quantify the effect of man on the process, but he is having an effect.
take a look at the last 20 to 30 years and ask where's our winter as gone and then tell us its not warming up
0.5 degree sounds stable to me! I tell you what I still see all these tree huggers driving around in their suv's and driving their motor homes to their favorite camping spot.
