global warming in itself is a pretty controversial issue. you have ur believers and non believers.
I can see why people believe in it, with all the record highs coming in summer and the polar ice caps melting, but then theres the other side with the unbearalbe cold in the winter and record lows.
i do beleive however that the ozone layer is being damaged a little bit becuase well, we as people pollute the environment everyday and it is unstoppalbe. America loves its cars. if you try to get everyone to not drive for just oneee day, it would help alot, but good luck trying to get that to happen, becuase thats just impossible.
but i beleive global warming is out there, but its just not as a serious issue as it is said to be and it is much exaggerated in movies like "the day after tommaro", thats just taking the effects of global warming past the extreme.
HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT BELIEVE IS WHAT IS UNBELIEVEBLE
it is you who are still in the dark ages ,just because nothing is happening in your street does not mean anything,and co2 is only a part of climate change
,what about desertification,deforrestation... shortage ,mass exstinction of Flora and fauna ,
many animals are becoming sick because of SMALL changes in temperature ,Insects are affected and some are going out of control such as the parasites that are killing the bees
vital links in the food chains are disapearing affecting other species further along in the chain
we are witness to a mass exstinction ,for the first time since the dinosaurs, of the earth's estimated 10 million species, 300,000 have vanished in the past 50 years. each years, 3,000 to 30,000 species become extinct.
everything is happening so fast it is not possible to monitor things any more.

World leaders are not concerned with the well being of the masses ,on the contrary .it was stated at a conference in Copenhagen,in 1998,by An American statesman , that the Agenda demanded a decrease in the world population of 60%,and you cannot achieve this if you start saving everybody.
scientists who work for politicians ,get paid by these politicians and they have downplayed the facts because solutions are expensive and means change
and change effects many peoples incomes,and upsets profit margins,so most of the world is kept in the dark of the real things that are going on.for political and economic reasons

this text only covers some aspects of global warming mainly man made desertification
industrial contamination ,the contaminating effects of the cities ,is another story
there are natural cycles in the planets life
but mans existance has its effects,and this is increasing with overpopulation,putting strains on Natural resources and increasing contaminations as well as destructions of essential componants the ensure living conditions for all life forms
in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification and some have died as a result
in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert,
,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and many of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were very few desserts.
collectively this planet is drying up because of bad farming practices like,over grazing and fertilizers,
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
Each year 70 million more people have to eat and drink and wash
Farmers are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary , over grazing, overpumping deep carbon aquifiers

The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.

We as humanity can behave in a less stressful manner as far as the Environment is concerned ,but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,

I think it's false too. Earth is a living organism it evolves and adapts to change as we do. It has been throught these cycles of hot and cold. Yes I know there are more people today then there was a million years ago but there will be more people tomorrow then there will be today so just grow up.

Well, the idea was first proposed in the 70s and all climate data since then has corroborated it. Keep in mind that 'Global warming' isn't about the planet becoming too hot, it's about our climate systems gaining strenght. Storms and climate change are powered by thermal energy and a 1 degree rise in earth temprature represents a HUGE amount of thermal energy.

The Earth's climate has been changing for billions of years; you can't legislate that away, but we can certainly harm millions of innocent humans (and other organisms!) by trying selflessly in the proud service of eco-fascism.
This has been around for a few decades now. It is sad that the deniers of global warming can't put everything together. It only makes more sense if you look at the Mars theory of melting polar caps. Mars is going through not just because of solar activity but because there is no vegetation to absorb the heat energy, after all Mars is mostly an atmosphere of CO2. With deforestation and pollution we are making the problem worse to the point of mans extinction.

If you live on planet Earth the evidence of Global warming is around you. It is happening know and all the scientist of the world are clearly warning that disaster is approaching.

I don't doubt that the climate could be changing. However, I am not convinced that mankind is the primary cause. The earth has always gone through periods of heating and cooling. It has been both warmer and cooler than it is right now. I believe that conservation and sustainable development are noble causes but think global warming is just a tactic used by the left to scare people into action.
No I do not believe global warming exists.
Ask yourself why the overwhelming majority (98%+) of scientists beleive it, why EVERY government in the world beleives it, why EVERY major oil company in the world believes it and why EVERY CEO of the world's 1000 leading organisations unanimously agreed that global warming was the most serious threat posed to humanity.
These people aren't stupid, they take expert advice from all sides before reaching a decision.
You seem to have already made your decision and this leads me to conclude that you don't understand how global warming works. If you understood you'd see why it's impossible to ignore. A good starting point is the physical properties of the greenhouse gases, this will explain how emissions of GHG's cause global warming. This is a good place to start as there are no sides to it, no aggendas or anything - just elementary physics.

I think a lot of people think it is BS (obviously). Most people who think global warming is BS live in industrialized nations where polluting is a way of life.

I think it is like Nazi, Germany. The Germans did not want to see the dark side because of their problems. Perhaps people in industrialized nations do not want to see the dark side of their way of life because vehicles, heaters, etc, provide them comfort.
