Do Govt. actions n measures on Global warming is necessary?
Answer:
We are the government.
We are the economy.
What we say, goes.
The notion that we need the government to control industry is baloney. If we the people demand it, then it will happen. It's not as if these factories are simply churning out greenhouse gases. They are churning out products for we the people - and not just rich people - the vast majority of people. If we don't buy their products, they have no reason to produce so much excess Greenhouse gas. Same goes for energy production: we use less, they make less. Same goes for transportation. The fuel burned is to move we the people back and forth or to bring the aforementioned goods and services to we the people.
We are in control of consumption.
The deception being put forth is NOT control of industry, but control of people. The alarmists believe that YOU cannot be trusted to do the right thing, that YOU don't know any better.
They want to control YOU.
Companies won't regulate themselves because they are more interested in making money. they are greedy and will make money at any cost even if it means killing off the planet. interesting fact, the US military is one of the biggest polluters there is. I am in the military in europe and our soldiers are suppose to recycle everything and the lazy slobs recycle nothing. They throw everything in the trash. most of the soldiers who do it are minorities too. i think its the way they grew up and they don't know how to change. anyway, goverment is the wrong people to regulate us seeing as they can't even regulate themselves.
I agree wid the_neckar_river.But its the Govt. only who rules us & can make rules & take steps against anything.
It is sad that govt. itself is not taking any considerable actions on global warming.
ofcourse public can force the govt. to take actions on global warming which is indeed very necessary. But first of all people themselves need to be aware on the issue.
Government actions are absolutely necessary. We need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% and probably more like 80-90% by 2050 if not sooner in order to avoid the worst consequences of global warming. There's no way we can make changes that drastic without the government requiring it.
yes.--since it is resposible for the health & welfare of the people, as well as the nation.
Of course industries won't clean up their act without a good shove from government and some millions of encouragement dollars.
Yes industries have always needed a push.
