Global warming?
Answer:
next century, yes
Global warming: yes
Are we all going to die from global warming?: no
No. It will be a while before global warming gets too bad and the whole world comes to an end. So don't worry about it. We're gonna be long gone before it gets too bad.
Probably not, man as a species is very resilient.
No, most scientists think it will amount to a couple of degrees. Only a very, very stupid politician would translate that into death of the planet. Al Gore may be the stupidest human to ever live on this planet.
No we're not. Even the worst case scenario predicts a rise of 6.4 degrees Celsius by the year 2100 - whilst this would have disasterous consequences it doesn't mean we're all going to die - far from it.
The most likely temperature rise is in the region of 2 or 3 degrees. Many people will die as a result through drought, flood, desertification, famine, disease etc, the worst affected areas will be those that are least equipped to deal with global warming - Africa and Asia.
Europe and the US can, to a large extent, mitigate the effects of GW and we'll be largely protected from it's worst affects.
Probably the best source of information relating to deaths from GW comes from the World Health Organisation. They have found that one person is dying every three minutes from GW at present and predict the figure will double within 20 years, almost all deaths being in the developing countries.
no, incease in virulence factors, CO2 concentrations, and starvation from food supply shortage caused by global warming, will probably get us first.
We are already dying from global warming ;-)
No. The reason why is because the earth is naturally cooling inside the core. However, the way we are taking care of the earth is damaging the atmosphere. Will we all die? Not in your lifetime but Geologists predict 50% chance in the next 100 years.
Not directly die, per say, but skin cancer rates from ozone depletion will rise and it will cause a lot of hassle and danger for many. Our major issue is really climate change (global warming is a prett innacurate term). For instance, more major storms, more severe droughts, and the water levels rising. I heard this morning on the radio that by the year 2100 significant portions of the San Francisco and Oakland airports will be under water if humans don't cut down on their CO2 ommissions. I think when people talk about climate change/global warming being dangerous and deadly they are referring to the effects it will have on things such as weather and how death rates may rise from that.
Also keep in mind that some people talk about humans dying out by the year XYZ because of the early onset of the next ice age. Those predictions are usually hundreds of years from now.
No i doubt it
I think we will all die from a global nuclear war first.
dont worry there will always e captain planet.. :P
