Local council pest control UK?

Has anyone used their services? I am thinking to call them for a rat problem but I am not sure how they do it. I do not wish for them to poison pets and foxes.
Where and how do they lay bait?

Answer:
I used them a few years back -
the woman was very careful, had a good look around etc
then tucked bags of poison out of way under shed, old scrap tiles etc
By the area wheres theres plenty of droppings
They are professionals and they are trained to avoid non-target species such as foxes and pets. Why not give them a call and ask directly. I had to use them in Scotland to get rid of moles and they knew exactly what to do and it worked.
No they do not charge! Its part of what you pay your rates for
I had to have them in, some rats had found their way up the drain pipe would you believe and into my loft, during the winter. We found the droppings, they were very good, they checked it out, worked out where they came from, then laid bait very carefully in places other people or animals could not get at. Give em a bell !
