In a small part, how would you help to save our mother earth from global warming.?
Answer:
These are things I currently do to help reduce the impacts of global warming:
*Bring my own bags to the grocery stores (canvas bags are sturdy). This saves trees and reduces our dependence on plastic.
*I walk, ride my bike or take the bus wherever I travel. You may not be able to do this all the time, but if you reduce a few car trips, it still helps.
*I use energy efficient light bulbs. They cost more, but last for years and help reduce global warming.
*I use cold water when washing laundry.
*I buy toilet paper made from recycled paper with the maximum post-consumer content (80% - Earth First brand at Vons; great price, too).
*I use tree-free paper and recycled paper with a high post-consumer content.
*I don't run the water when brushing my teeth. I just turn on the faucet when wetting my toothbrush and to rinse.
*I use fans in hot weather instead of air conditioning and never use heat (unnecessary where I live). As long as no one is elderly or could be harmed from intense heat or cold in your home, fans in summer and extra layers of clothing and blankets in winter suffice in mild climates.
*I have been vegan for 15 years. It takes more resources, including water, to support a meat-based diet than a vegetarian one. I think it could help our planet if people could just try a couple of vegetarian meals a week. But, always check with your doctor before changing your diet.
*I just made a commitment this year to buying only used books. Since I love to read, I check out a lot of books from the library, but once in a while I find a book I'd like to keep. Of course books are made from paper, which comes from trees, and we need to save as many as possible.
If you want more ideas, try your local library. There have been a lot of books written about things you can do to help our planet. Don't feel overwhelmed. None of us can solve a great problem like global warming alone. Just stay positive, do what you can, one step at a time. I used to be more negative, but that was boring. When you do something, it matters because you know it helps and Mother Earth knows you care.
walk to the store instead of driving.
Adopt TAGP(tm), I don't know why you haven't already.
1. recycle as much as possible
2. Compost waste that breaks down naturally.
3. take bus whenever you can
4. wash clothes in cold water. Line dry when possilbe
5. have more plants in house.
6. Turn heat down in winter, keep AC temp up in summer
7. insulate house
8. use fluorescent light bulbs
9. have a hybrid/ energy efficient car.
10. make less trips in car. If you need to do a few things, do them all at once in one trip, rather than making small trips throughout week
11. carpool
12. stop eating meat
Stop the junk from spewing from democrats mouths.
I'm driving a fuel efficient auto instead of a gas hogging SUV. It also saves me a pile of money.
Stop driving a car and use Public Transportation, Change all incandescent light bulbs to fluorescent, Recycle everything. Sell off all my old appliances and get E Star Appliances. Stop using my AC and Heaters except when really needed and then only to get the temp back to the comfort zone, Turn off the AC and Heater when I'm not home and program it to activate only about fifteen to twenty minutes before I get home from work
That what I do to slow down global warming.
I think you need to get your facts straight. "Mother Earth" won't cease to exist because of Global Warming ... YOU WILL!!
Create less waste, limit human population growth.
The best we can do as individuals is be more responsible ,in our own neck of the woods
Organise well publicized clean up parties ,talk on the radio
Have citizan meetings
Get the shools involved to plant trees and listen to environmental awareness talks,
If you do any cleaning up leave signs behind saying who cleaned, why and ask people not to start dumping rubbish again ,leave a hole or bins ,in case people come with trash ,
POSITIVE ACTIONS)
Classify trash take out all the organic waste and make compost with it ,the worst you can do is throw it with the trash
70% of contamination is due to organic waste that is mixed in with the garbage .
And it is just as bad in the sewer where it helps to breed rats and in the landfill it poisons the ground
And it is the easiest to take care of
o first of all we have to clasify trash at least keep the organic to one side ,like in a plasic bin with a lid
If you got a few meters of ground ,you only need 1 or 2 square meters in a shallow hole ,in the shade ,that you can wet now and again ,where you dump everything that is organic ,from toilet paper, bones vegetable cuttings ,eggshells,,dead bodies ,excrement ,and cover regularly with leaves to keep humid and to hide any smell
the worms will come and decompose the wastes truning it into beautifull black soil for the garden of flower pots .
If you are in a apartment ,if you have a balcony get a big plastic bin drill some holes in the side and lid ,
Add a few buckets of sand now and again to put over the trash ,you should realt stir or move the stuff at times to airate it and ensure that the decomposition is overall ,keep moist
This rubbish does not get big very fast and the thing works for a long time with out getting full

If you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes
Reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
The protection of existing forrests.
Stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
Education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
Education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´population
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
More environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
More dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
Alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

the most common answer would be walk to near places instead of using vehicles.
*since in this busy world we can't stop anyone from using vehicles, I think the best solution would be --planting trees as they can absorb CO2.
*u could use eco-friendly products which are durable & harmless to u as well as the environment.
*use public transport as far as possible.
*even the CFC(a harmful chemical present inside the fridges, A.C etc..) also contribute to global warming..on our part we can use these electronic items only when necessary.
deforeastration contributes maximum. so we can form eco-clubs in schools, colonies amongst friends & relatives and stop these activities in our suuroundings..
it seems the climate change people are doing their part AND mine...thanks! i'm going to keep on living like i always have.
The Earth is not my Mother, and you need to stop smoking that stuff and get a job. Stop living in the dark tripping out. Turn all the lights on. Go get a big SUV and to haul a 1-SEER air conditioner to your house. Install it in the dark by the light of incandescent bulbs and then go fire up the BarBQ. Invite over all your green wacko friends and tell them to shut up and eat the feast you prepared for them from the dead bodies of methane emitting cows.
Burn all the books and shut down the news broadcast about "global warming". No one would feel any different if they weren't told everyday that the earth is warming, as todays temp is the same as it was 50 years ago.
