How many pounds of horse manure would it take to enrich a garden 100 feet by 200 feet?

Well? Its been aged a year in a huge heap. I have sand soil.

Answer:
Your garden is 20,000 sqr feet. Since your garden has a sandy soil, it needs lots of organic matter. I'd start with 1 pound for every 4 square feet. That would be about 5,000 pounds needed.

Start shoveling.
How deep are you planning to apply the manure?
I think it would take a s&!t load!
Not pounds but cubic feet. Weight can vary greatly depending on moisture content. If you do have a very sandy soil I would not just use manure but topsoil as well. With poor soils you would want to add probaby a minimum of 6 inches soil\organic matter to work in so for each square yard you would want 1.5 cubic feet .
It needs tobe well rotted, 1year old. As a general rule, aiiow 1 barrow load of manuure for every 12 square yards(10m2).
