I would have to say the main indication is that there is ice over a thousand years old in the ice caps that are now MELTING.
None that I know of. The global warming theories use the melting of the glaciers as their proof, and the some of the odd activity in the weather. However there are others who point to a natural occurrence in the ocean currents that could also cause the increased melting of the glaciers, and the activity in the weather. There is more proof for the later than global warming since they know they have happened before.
The oceans currents have become increasingly strong, which causes more heat, the sun's rays are getting warmer, and we just got out of the little ice age 150 years ago.
one way to monitor it is to check temps for your area over the last 100 yrs.
another way to monitor it is grow catalogs - some areas have changed 2 planting zones into warmer plant zones.
also the ice shelves are falling into the sea.
most likely the easiest way to relate would be to go over temp charts in your area for the last 100 yrs. usually when weather is being reported they indicate when a record warmth or cold record is broken in your area.
another way is to talk to older people in your area - specifically farmers - they rely heavily on temps for planting. also keep in mind the colder climates have been hit much harder then the warmer climates.

What the heck do you mean: What evidence is there? Are you totally ignorant? Haven't you heard that the ice is melting in Greenland, in the Antartic, and the Artic, and that the ice sheets of Northern Canada are melting? Are you hiding yourself from the facts? They are out there, just look. My advice is to go to other places besides FunQA.coms.
P.s. Why don't people wan't to believe in Globel Warming? Are they afraid that they will have to change their life? Do they think that those who believe in Globel Warming believe in it just excitement? I tell you, it is not exciting, fun, or anything else.

Glaciers have been advancing and retreating since the end of the last ice age.
What caused the end of the last ice age? Was it global warming? The obvious answer is, yes.
Was this caused by humans learning to control fire?
Again, the answer is painfully obvious. NO!
Global warming is a sales tool.
Any salesman worth his salt can explain this to you.
In order to sell a "prospect" (in this case, you) anything. There must be "need" by the prospective client for the product or service that you intend to "sell".
If, the need does not exist. You must CREATE one!
In this case the need was created by other world governments.
The attempt was to, at best, gain some sort of control over American business. At least, force an inflow of American dollars to their coffers. Using the newly created "carbon credits". (Kyoto accords 1997)
Al Gore. "An Inconvenient Truth". This is capitalism, nothing more. Being the owner of a business that happens to sell "carbon credits". Promotes the idea of global warming, and the solution. Carbon Credits! Pure profit! Plus, he becomes the savior.
Genius. This is a feat to be admired by any true capitalist.
However, this is the reason that there are constraints placed on capitalism in this country.
Al Gore is a modern day snake oil salesman. Any unfortunate that happens to believe this BS, really needs to take the time to reflect on exactly what they are being sold!
