What do you see the future has in store for us in about 10-20 years?

For me as an individual:
Well over the next two years, I'm going to study for a diploma and perhaps a bachelor in Information Technology. Beyond that, it's all pretty vague. I hope to get a good career going, and possibly even get married. Beyond that, I have absolutely no idea,
For the entire world:
I foresee a great many challenges ahead for us as humans. I mean, the middle east is firing up again, the US is becoming broken, global warming still exists and we face crisis' with resources, both natural and not. We humans are a vile and barbaric species, and we may very well see our end in the coming decades.
On the other hand, we are also peaking an age of great technological advancements. We're soon to begin exploring space again with the Constellation project, then even onward to Mars. We are developing new medicines, vaccines and other human enhancements all the time, too. Perhaps even bridge the borders of misunderstanding with our fellow man. On this hand, we could see a new golden age for humanity.
Which will triumph? I haven't a clue. We can only speculate.
Even smaller cell phones and ipods.
There really isn't a whole lot to invent anymore.
The only thing I can think of are flying cars and robots for the home.
And then there is biotechnology, who knows where that will go.
i think the world will have alot of pollution because everyone is just dumping their rubbish anywhere they like (not in a rubbish bin) and cars are letting out a lot of fuel and that is damaging our o zone layer. i hope somebody creates a car that lets out much less fuel oils and gas.
Tons and tons of robots, a powerful computer that's the size of an ipod or Nintendo DS for use as a laptop that can be plugged into your 50 foot plasma TV and used as a desktop. A lot less cars and more stuff being delivered to the home.
it wont be good !! at the rate we are going we are facing human extinction.
I don't know about you, but retirement for me. HA !!
Greener, and faster modes of transportation to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions and help us to travel more safely and fast.
