IF I believed in Atlantis I would feel that the destruction and sinking came NOT from the ICE AGE nor GLOBAL WARMING, but the demise of the island due to a tidal wave or many tidal waves, taking and sinking it as if it were an atoll, with nothing beneath it.
No way . I can just imagine SUV's running around and some as yet to be 100% confirmed island gats covered in ash.

Well Global Warming brough about the great era of the Dinosaur, and Global Cooling took them out. Global Cooling allowed the Neanderthal to flourish in Europe, and as the Earth warmed again (Global Warming), they could not adapt, and Man (Homo Sapien) became the dominant Human Life Form.
I honestly think that this global warming bit is nothing more than the free enterprise principle in action. Some business poeple got together and was thinking how they could make more money. Since the scare tatic works in politics why wouldn't it work in buisness. (Carbon credits, all the new green tech. etc.) I'm i saying its bad to be responsible in regards to the environment. NOT AT ALL. we should be. How far back, do we have records of temps. globally do we have? How long ago did they find the hole in the ozone? How old is the earth suppose to be?
The global warming folks will say; we have core samples of ice and soil to back up our claims? But,what is their answer for the affects of erosion on the accuracy of their claims, because the mountains out west that are shrinking from wind/water erosion, the melt water that is coming from the bottom of the glaciers. In a funny way, their evidence is being floating away by the wind and water. So really their evidence is flawwed.
So what are we to do, Be responsible, think and act in away that is right, safe and healthy not just for our short time here but for our kids and their kids and so on.

We can make a difference by doing the following things:if you have to go to the market//store try walking there walk more,you can recyle,replace your incandescent bulbs with flourescent bulbs they might cost more but they eventually pay for them selves becuz they dont burn out,recycle,instead of turning on your AC open your window,whenever possible use a clothing line instead of a dryer,unplug electronice from the wall whenever you're not using them,plant a tree.
