Al Gore is obviously a pig and so is anyone who indulges in the piggish use of energy. I'm talking about NASCAR foremost but in reality of all the people that drive to go see NASCAR and other sporting events who are perhaps contributing to global warming but certainly contributing to the depletion of fossil fuels.

And if ever in the future we are required to pay for global warming prevention efforts, it would be a tax and it certainly wouldn't go directly to Al Gore.

No. I would try to find an organization to send it to that is well-known and dedicated to fighting global warming. While Al Gore may be the one showing global warming and making it known to the world, the money that is sent would probably not be put to the right cause. If you just send him a check, or fill it out online, there is no telling what it might be used for. You might think it is going to say, help scientists develop new ways of producing fuel, but it could be going to help pay the promotional cost or the transportation costs of this campaign...
