Why do so many people think that Global Warming doesn't exist?

Please if you answer this leaver the names of the scientists that you have your theorys from.

Answer:
Suspendor, I seriously hope you are joking. "Typical Libtard oversimplification." . "Natural Cycle. Only a Libtard or one of their evil masters would try to make political hay out of it."
You start by saying it's a liberal asking the question when all that was referred to were scientific sources. Then you end by blaming liberals for politicizing the question. You avoided giving any sources, or explanations to your claims. I'm sad to see all shouting contests on here. Do you have an attention deficit, or do you have ulterior motives that you can't back up in any other way?
because they're ignorant.
Denial. Nobody wants to believe it because that would mean the we were all at fault and would have to do something about it or face the very serious consequences. If we didn't then our children and grandchildren would. Many, especially politicians refuse to believe it's a real issue no matter how many scientific facts there are.
Most people don't believe in Global Warming because things like this have happened before. People made big deals out of stuff they thought was going to happen but just turned out to be something stupid. So why should people believe Global Warming when scientists have gotten it wrong before.
Some people DON'T WANT to hear that Global Warming exists- they want to love their smog car; burn their trash; allow their favorite beer company to keep producing drinks- this is what our society has come to know and love. Some don't want to believe that Global Warming can kill this in the end.
Because there is equal evidence supporting that it dosen't exist. And that is honestly the answer to it all. theres so many crazy people on both sides of the debate sometimes its hard to listen to either side of it.

Honestly, if there weren't so many crackpot conspiracy theorists out there or politicians out for their own personal agenda maybe we could actually come to terms with it, but until then, or until the environment begins its downward spiral.

Also what it boils down to is money and effort. If governments out there actually acknowledged there global warming is indeed a threat to our way of life, then that would mean billions in spending and regulations that would need to be put into effect and for most big government, they just aren't willing to do it or spend anything on something that dosen't directly effect them this moment.
because they deny it.....and we humans aren't much of the cause of global warming.....don't get me wrong, we are part of the global climate change...but maybe onli 15%-20% of it....cow farts produce a lot of poisonous gases(even more than SUV's) per year....and the sun's gravity is pulling us in..so the earth is getting closer to to sun and hotter!! but global cooling is bound to happen.and we'll be worrying about the ice age..^^
The big problem is what do you do about Global Warming.

The best estimates in the scientific literature are that we would have to reduce carbon dioxide emissions worldwide by at least 90% if we are to have any possibility of stopping or preventing Global Warming.

In other words we would have to reduce carbon dioxide emissions world wide to less than on tenth of what they are today.

Unless we are willing to shut down the economies worldwide you cannot achieve the necessary reductions in carbon dioxide emissions.

Instead we must focus on mitigating the effects of Global Warming.

The sea levels will rise. Fortunately low lying property can be protected from flooding with dike systems similar to those in Holland that are used to hold back the sez.

Huricanes will become stronger and more frequent. We need to help the poor countries upgrade their disaster preparedness programs.

Droughts will become more frequent. We need to help the affected areas with supplemental water supplies and desalination plants.

We cannot prevent Global Warming, but we can mitigate the effects of Global Warming if we start now.
Typical Libtard oversimplification. Nobody claims it doesn't exist. It's HUMAN BLAME that is being disputed. Global Warming happens alternately with Global Cooling. It's called a Natural Cycle. Only a Libtard or one of their evil masters would try to make political hay out of it.
Because some people will believe anything bad about mankind, anything a Lib says, any BS from Michael Moore or Al Gore.

Oh sorry, wrong question. Yours goes something like this. Global warming is a hoax but if it were actually I would have to believe your scientists. And if I can believe the science that says it is real I must also believe my car is not the culprit. You see it hasn't been driven a single mile on Venus or Mars and they are both experiencing the same warming, according to the scientists you are quoting.

BTW, the father of climatology calls man made warming a hoax. Read it for yourself. You probably won't because it doesn't fit your mold. And I might further ask, what happened to the ice-age we were guaranteed in the 70s. All mankind would die by the early 80s, frozen to death. Or I might ask what happened to the promise of skin cancer wiping out the human race by 2000 because we were destroying the ozone layer.

You sir, are a subscriber to junk science whose only lot in life is to further destroy any country that is in anyway affluent.

One more thing, why doesn't Al Gore pick up the tab for this global warming crap. He must be flush with royalties after inventing the Internet. Man what would the planet do with out Al Gore, our lord and savior, AMEN.
I'm more concerned about the ozone layer than global warming.
Global warming definitely exists, there are many signs such as melting icebergs and whatever else. The point of contention is whether it's caused by humans contribution to carbon dioxide. 95% of the carbon oxide is caused by natural causes such as rotting of vegetation, 5% is caused by the burning of fossil fuels by humans. Whether this is a significant enough contribution by humans to make a difference in the climate is the main point of contention and disagreement. The global warming issue could all be part of a natural cycle but the fact of the matter is that non-renewable fossil fuels are being used up, perhaps frivolously, at the expense of future generations.
ok people belive in that stuff because then do not have a religion. All they belive in is science they are called like sciencology i think is wat they call it.
Because they belive that, that is how the world will end. But really in the bible it says all those who do not belive shall burn in H*** and the ones who belive and are good shall live forever in Heaven.
gee whiz, Chester. <<You sir, are a subscriber to junk science whose only lot in life is to further destroy any country that is in anyway affluent.>>

when i looked, junkscience was saying that global warming was a hoax.
just like the same guy said, 30 years ago, that tobacco was not addicting, and did not cause cancer.
yes sirree bob, morals come pretty cheap these days.

what did the IPCC say? they were 90% sure that people were the cause of the problem. and why did they say 90%? because China and the US demanded it. if not for them, it would have been 99%. and why did China and the US demand that it be watered down? because both have large coal reserves that they plan to use for power generation.

don't you find it interesting that the same people say:
-- it's not happening.
-- what about global cooling in the 70s?
-- hey, we're still coming out of the little ice age.
-- what about warming on Mars?
-- puny insignificant man surely could not affect the whole planet.
-- "Do the research yourself" (as if they've done more than look at OIS and junkscience.com)
-- "It's a liberal plot" (even though Bush even admitted it's a problem.)
-- There has been warming and cooling (ice ages) many times in the past -- this is no different.
-- Man has survived ice ages, and warming in the past. No problem.
-- Hey, if it gets warmer, that'll be really good. we can grow crops in Canada and Siberia. That'll mean more food around the world.

What they're really thinking:

-- Aw man, gas is going to be $10 a gallon.
-- I'm going to have to trade my hummer for a bicycle.
-- My taxes are going to go up.
-- the corporate lobby says that everything is going to get more expensive, and surely we can trust them.

yup, real science there.
The BIBLE states this" professing themselves to be wise they became fools" Facts should impress everyone..james h
There are actually many hundreds of scientists that disagree with "popular" global warming theories. But because our media is a liberal propaganda machine, we rarely hear about them. You can read this article from the Canada Free Press. There are direct quotes from scientists that refute the claims of those who would have us believe that global warming is real:

http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/harr...

The article really is enlightening and informative.
Some people don't belive that Global Warming exist because some people think that it's just a normal cycle that the Earth runs through. I do belive that Global Warming exist. I also belive that Global Cooling caused the ice age to wipe out the dinosours ( if it was the ice age, it might have been some type of comet). So that's why I think if Global Warming gets worse it will end looking like the ice age, but with fire and not ice.
