GO OUTSIDE & PLAY!!
First of all, 9 year olds are not allowed to work, however, there's no law saying they can't do chores and receive rewards for their efforts........
At nine
the chores that she does and the "allowance" that she receives for these chores should be about the closest to "work" that she should be --- this "effort" in exchange for "reward" is a great place for the early training of a youngster into the real world that will require (most people at least) to put themselves TO something before they receive the substance they need to survive !!
However, there are a number of "projects" that can be achived BY a nine year old that will reap a great deal of monetary income ! There is a little girl here in Texas that started making greeting card drawings and her mother scanned these into her computer and printed them out into greeting cards --- they sell the everliving daylights out of these things --- are making an absolute fortune -- they've even gone, now, to a commercial printer to have these done in bulk !! Any type of a "project" like this that the little one LOVES to "work" with --- could be the ticket to major income -- might even lead to her being able to put the FOLKS on an
"allowance" !!!
picking up her toys, and keeping her room clean, and uncluttered, making/changing her sheets would be great for a 9 year old. These are good starter jobs. Learning the basics are always best in the beginning. She is a child. Be a child. Just learn the basics for now, so that she can become a good adult. Working will come later. Believe it, it will come! Continue to be a great big sister. :)
