Can you please give me a list of what to recycle.?

You see I'm trying to start recycling and I'm trying to learn what to recycle and what not to recycle. Please give me a list.

Answer:
Bravo! Good for you.
It depends what community/city/village you live in. Most now have recycling, whether curbside pickup or u-haul to a center.
Everyone takes aluminum (such as pop cans) and steel (such as soup, beans, etc.) cans. Office paper and cardboard--clean, not greasy or dirty like pizza boxes--are usually taken. Plastics are another thing. Look on the bottom of the item. It should have a recycle symbol, with a number inside it, from 1 to 6 or 7, 1 being the most recyclable.. You should call your local city hall and ask up to which number they'll accept plastics--not all places take past 3, though some take it all.
Hazardous materials like batteries, paint thinners, aerosol cans are usually taken by an independent recycler at certain times of the year--your community paper or bulletin board should be able to tell you where and when.
Happy recycling!!
paper, can (beer can ), can (food can), plastic bottle, clean plastic packaging, tetra pack. just browse some website about recycling in your local area.
soda cans
glass jars or bottles
paper
any plastic that has the triangle recycling symbol on it
cans from fruits, vegtables etc.
You can get that infomation online. The whole list.
Papers, milk cartons, any kinds of cans, bags, boxes, banana peels(they can actually make papers from that), pens, pencils, and anything plastic or wood. Thank you for your effort!
Newspaper, Magazines, Glass Bottles, Plastic Bottles, Plastic Containers and spray cans, Cardboard, Scrap Metal, tin cans, Aluminum cans, Steel cans. At the Grocery store take plastic bags to Plastic Bag Return Box.
every municipality collects different things ~ as an example, some areas collect only 1-2 plastics while others will collect 1-7. You can call your trash collection agency or the public works department of your city, and they can mail you the list of what can be recycled in your area.

In addition to what everyone else has listed, there's also
cardboard, rebond foam carpet pad, motor oil, scrap metal of all types, and copper. Dry cleaners will recycle dry cleaning bags and metal hangers; grocery stores will take grocery & produce bags. If you live in S Cal or the NYC/NJ areas, there's a few places that will even recycle certain types of carpeting.
paper-cardboard,glass,and any metal.
plastic is the biggest problem, because to recycle it causes pollution such as melting it for reuse.
also recycling causes pollution by having to collect it.
it costs the US government 8 billion a year.FOR RECYLING.
a dog chasing it's tail.
