Global warming?

If we could figure a way to replicate photosynthesis on a massive scale would it be enough to stop or slow global warming?

Answer:
It would have to be very massive to "stop" it.

Look at how all the plants of the world are being overwhelmed right now:

The little squiggles are nature doing its' thing. CO2 falls a bit during summer when plants are active, and rises during the winter. The huge increase is us, burning fossil fuels. The scientists can actually show that the increased CO2 in the air comes from burning fossil fuels by using "isotopic ratios" to identify that CO2.

It could be one tool to help reduce it, though.
Yes just by growing more tress not cutting it and to encourage social forestry.
There is no need to stop the natural global warming. Gore's blatherings are all big lies, so stop worrying about it.
Yes it would and no doubt has in the past. The biosphere can produce many times more biomass than it does now if the right elements are in place. At this time the biosphere is operating at about 10% or so of its potental to absorb CO2.
We need to stop emitting so much carbon dioxide. Watch "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore
yes !
each one
plant one
and. . .
global warming gone
Yes it would definitely lower the CO2 levels and therefore slow down the global warming but depending on the power source they use. Doing it artificially will also consume a lot of energy and for generating that amount of energy we will have to use fuel and that will give out CO2; it would be better if those artificial photo synthesizers of yours run on atomic energy or still better if they run on Renewable sources of energy like Sun :). So I guess you can know think of the best machine that can do it right yes - Trees. So why should we search for such machines when we already have them? Just plant more and we can solve the problem and yes should be a little more sensible on energy usage, we can definitely slow down the process. And also these artificial photo synthesizers may not have that many advantages as trees have; so these come as a bonus.
Why do we need to replicate it when nature already does a great job of it?
