Recycling in the uk?

i have a bad cold and lots of snotty tissues. which bin am i meant to put them in?
categoricaly they are paper products but aint that a bit minging to expect them to be recycled?

eww gross! i personally would just chuck em in with the rest of the rubbish, but then again they prob dont pick the paper up without gloves on and may even wear masks so up to you
Put them in your compost heap and allow them to decompose.

It's almost impossible to know what you can put in for recycling and what you can't. Apparantly you can't put shredded paper out as it makes the recycling lorry messy, so I should imagine snotty tissue will be refused by our wet bin men.
I put mine in the compost bin. along with my shredded documents too, and bits of kitchen roll that i have used for mopping up spills and stuff. it all mixes with the 'greens' to make for a better compost.
Dust bin. Ignore Jet_set , unless you want to block your loo or worse sewer. Than you will find out how the 3rd world lives. tissues believe it or not will cause your toilet and most likely your neighbours loo's to block, So not only will you have a cold, but a headache from your neighbours complaining.
