Basically, what do you think America wants more from you, your money or to see you healthy, happy, & alive?

If you go by the principles and foundation upon which this country was established -- granted history has been 'cleaned up' quite a bit -- I would go with our Declaration of Independence.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
That said, a country can't function without funds to sustain it. So it's not an either/or, it's both. America wants my money -- and yours -- to keep the country afloat so that we may strive to live and pursue those noble goals.

Which part of america? I think there are lots of nice folks all over america who would like others to be healthy happy and alive. Then there are other folks who just want the money. And then there are some folks who hate others and just want to see them die.

It's everybody out there who is trying to get rich that wants my little bit of money.
Have you noticed businesses are thinking of everything they can for us to make extra monthly payments to them. Why can't they come up with something worthwhile to sell instead of more monthly fees (for no reason)?
