Do you need a Licence to use a Metal Detector in WA?
Also where in Australia can you buy them or hire them? If anyone has info on this or anything to do with gold fossicking etc. it would be of great help.

Err...where is WA? At first I thought you meant Washington (you know, the state, in which I live) but I have no idea about Australia.
You don't need a license in Washington though, and who would catch you if you went without a license in Australia? What the police don't know won't hurt em! It's not like you are killing someone, just having a bit of fun...
No a person does not need a license in WA state where I live,,people use them all the time..mostly after a ballgame or something like that. "people drop coins when they drink, har", altho not a whole lot of places in western WA for gold,, eastern is better and better yet is Oregon and northern California, don't go to Montana tho, there's a bunch of crabby people there..as for Australia, don't know, haven't done that..
no but if your putting medal objects in your butt and waving it around thinking you struck gold i believe that is illeagle in at least 7 states ok i hope you dont wear magnet pants ,that opens up all kinds of charges
