In theory, should CREATIONISTS or EVOLUTIONISTS make better ENVIRONMENTALISTS?

logically, which belief system (creationism or evolution) should be more likely to eventually manifest itself into an interest in the environment?

i am acutely aware that people can and do overcome (as well as employ) their beliefs to make great strides. nothing is set in stone for ANY of us.

but for the sake of the question, please just consider the belief, not the individual. which view should be more likely to lead to an interest in environmentalism: the idea of a world created by god, or one that formed and developed on its own? WHY?

Answer:
Interesting question, my friend! My inclination is to come down with a positive vote on the evolutionist outlook. My thinking is that given a choice, an evolutionist will tend more toward the thought of 'cause and effect' and the implications of their choice with respect to their environment, while one with a creationist mind set will tend to tilt more toward a belief that God will always"provide" and put things right...no matter what harm one does to our environment... (i.e. a license to somehow deny personal responsibility.) I do not mean to offend...but only to expess my personal perspective of how folks tend to view their place and impact on our world..Blessings
Logically, if you believe you are leaving the world in a year or two because the end is just SO "immanent" then conservation isn't important.

So evolutionists make better environmentalists by default.
Obviously evolutionists. Creationists buy into the Bible, and the Bible tells us that 'man has dominion' over nature. Domination is not a very good position to take when you are trying to find your place in the natural schema.

Creationists further assume that whatever we destroy God man rebuild... environmentalism in predicated on the very real possibility that we may do lasting harm to the planet as we have reached our moment of technology.
Environmentalism is a large heading. I think that based on this both can be. However:

The creationist is more likely to curb pollution while taking the most advantage of the earth, as God expects us to do.

The evolutionist is more likely to condem men as being the scourage of the planet, since humans are no more important then any other animal.
The world is becoming more aware of environmental protection and there are people, regardless of their beliefs, are committed to the preservation and protection of our environment.
That is just too obvious to require an answer.
Logically..

An evolutionist should say:
"The species can't adapt and cope? GOOD RIDDANCE! Darwin wins again!"
In theory, creationists would make better environmentalists. They would see the earth as a world created by God, and even though the earth has been corrupted by Satan, creationists would recognize the beauty of God's creation and seek to preserve that. Evolutionists would have a more "que sera sera" approach. Whatever is supposed to happen will happen through evolution.
Creationists, because God gave us this very beautiful gift, and they should want to take care of it.

Evolutionists, because they see how long it took for things to evolve and they want to protect the planet's right to continue to evolve in a natural manner.

I think education and upbringing have more to do with making the better environmentalist. As it is, we're trashing the planet, and humanity should be deeply ashamed.
Actually, hunters are the best environmentalists.
Creationists, because not taking care of the earth (the creation) is disrespctful to the creator.
Christian fundamentalists (creationists) have little or no regard for the environment; after the Rapture (which will happen any day now) what difference will it make?

"Why care about the earth when the droughts, floods, famine and pestilence brought by ecological collapse are signs of the apocalypse foretold in the Bible? Why care about global climate change when you and yours will be rescued in the rapture? And why care about converting from oil to solar when the same God who performed the miracle of the loaves and fishes can whip up a few billion barrels of light crude with a word?"

People that understand evolution realize no species can exist except in an adequate environment. Species are not discrete, eternal entities; they belong to their niche and are lost outside of it unless they can adapt quickly enough.

Moreover, our niche is dependent on others as a part of an ecosystem:

Modern human activities are accelerating environmental destruction. It's a mistake to think that we're a special case. As environmental destruction reaches certain levels, living populations are trimmed with ruthless efficiency and entire species are driven to extinction. We've seen this so many times before, you'd think that we'd have learned this lesson.
