What are some reasons the UN should stay out of Enviromental policy?
Please provide a case study if possible to support you statement.
( I know many people disagree with this statement I am just brain storming in preperation for a debate)
Answer:
Well one good reason is the the U.N. is controled by the U.S. and its policy to pollute.
The U.S. answers to no one.
Even if the U.N. had the will and guts to act againts countries that ignore and dis-obay environmental policies ( Kyoto Protocal ), this will have little effect to enforce these countries to change the way business is done.
Sadly to say, future generations will ask themselves "Why wasn't anything done to prevent this global disaster when all the evidence and warning signs were at hand.
The answer is greed and selfishness. Take all the resources available now and who cares about the future. In capitalism, money matters most, even if the planet is left dry and poisoned.
They should encourage the different nations to work together, but your example is a good point.
we should all work together on these issues and if a country cant comply then we should vote to remove them
