What changes could you make to reduce your contribution to climate change?
Answer:
I'm in the middle of a self imposed 12 hour moratorium on passing gas in an effort to reduce my carbon footprint. OOPS! Well, there goes that idea. Sorry guys!
There's no such thing.
nothing, global warming doesn't exist
First off, I applaud you for using the correct term of climate change, as global warming doesn't accurately depict the various changes experienced in different areas of the world.
You can start by doing a few simple things:
recycle, use your car less by biking places or carpooling, change your light bulbs to energy efficient bulbs, use your heat or AC as little as possible, and other things but this is a good place to start.oh, and plant a tree =)
Since you didn't say how much, I'll drive home at 54MPH instead of 55 today. Thanks for the reminder.
Since global warming is not human-induced logically there is nothing I can do to change that fictional concept. Let me guess. cavemen driving SUV's caused the EVERY ice age to recede right?
Adopt TAGP(tm).
Every household contributes through electric energy use because generating electricity produces the largest amount of co2 emissions. Everything you do to reduce your electricity use can help. Turn up the thermostat on your A/C in summer and turn down your thermostat for heat in winter by just a few degrees. Change from incandescent to CFL light bulbs. CFLs use a lot less KWH. Wrap your hot water tank with an insulation jacket to limit loss of heat from tank.
The other place household contribute is through adding to landfills which add to methane. So RECYCLE!

why would I want to reduce my contribution? I didn't know that I was contributing to it. I thought it was a natural phenomenon.
Combine errands into one, use candles for an evening in instead of lights, purchase compact flourescent bulbs instead of incadescent bulbs, and take shorter showers. The list goes on, and while a lot of people don't want to do anything for the environment because they think someone else will ... it only takes baby steps to contribute to a better world. Thanks for sharing.
drive a hybrid car and recycle things that could be recycled
