Entomophobia, also known as insectophobia. Fear of general insects. There isn't anything specific for fear of cockroaches.
The cause of most phobias can be traced back to a specific triggering event, usually a traumatic experience at an early age.

I am the SAME WAY! I was never scared of them, but we moved into our first apartment and it was INFESTED. It is called Blattodephobia I believe...
some places list it as Entomophobia under bug phobia
