There are hoses that are labeled drinking water safe (although few and far between) one brand that I know of is FlexEEL.
Hi

You are misinformed, all hoses are not made with lead!

However, some hoses are made in a process where the exterior of the hose comes in contact with lead in the curing process.

Most brass fittings are made with some lead in the alloy, though there are some trends to reduce or eliminate this in products used in the DRINKING water system in areas such as California.

If you are looking for a hose that is safe to use for drinking water, then you want to look for a hose that is listed as as such. They are usually WHITE (or BLUE) to distingish them from the common garden hose.

One I am familiar with would be the Swan Marine Camper Drinking Water Hose, which is WHITE. It is made with USFDA-approved tube materials for food contact use and Nickel-plated brass couplings. (Owned by Parker Hannifin)
The folks at Swan have a reputation as the Cadillac of the Garden Hose business, and sell mainly to the industrial market.

I understand that Gilmour who markets through mass market retailers also offers a Drinking Water Hose, as I suspect do all of the major players in the Garden Hose business.

Some Drinking Water Hoses may come with plastic fittings, which may not withstand as much abuse.

Another term for a drinking water hose is a POTABLE water hose.

You may find references to the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), the folks who set the standards for Poatable water, rather than the USFDA, when you look for a drinking/potable water hose. If you drink water at home you already drink water that must meet their standards.

So other than using just any old hose,
getting what you need should be no big problem.

Good Luck
