Does anyone know how much dry matter a rain forest produces per acre.?

I think an acre of corn, both above and below ground produces over 15 tons of dry material trapping about 7.5 tons of carbon. Current CO2 levels are not sufficient to get maximum production. Maybe corn for ethanol is a good idea.

Answer:
Try below.

btw: Do you know that people and livestock actually eat the corn you want to turn into ethanol? Do you know that producing ethanol from edible crops is a very inefficient way to produce something to put in your SUV? Do you know that Brazil's ethanol based industry is primarily responsible for the deforestation of the Amazon jungle?

Some inconvenient truths.
