Would you rather take the bus or drive? & why?

Answer:
both!
when i can take transit i do, why put more crap into our environment when we don't have to.
however, since i come from a small town, when i need to go anywhere from there i have no choice but to drive
Not everyone has access to public transportation. Most people live in areas where they must drive 10 miles or more to work and there is no public transportation.
I would rather take the bus and waste someone elses gas, then use my own, plus its alot cheaper that way.
Depends on how far I am going. If it's just to work, if I had access to public transportation I would consider using it. If it's a long trip, I am driving. I want to be able to stop when and where I want.
I would rather drive, I will get there faster and dont have to wait for a bus. Plus I like my "alone time" in my car.
i would rather take a bus, but i live in a rural area where there is no bus. it's so much more efficient than driving two or three people in a car that gets 20 mpg. I'm hoping in my town that they bring back the public passenger train, like in europe. it would be sooo much more efficient.
i would always rather take the bus - its quicker and theres a stop right outside our house - i cant drive yet either so i have to ask my mum for lifts if i want the car- the bus is so much more convenient and reliable !
I'd rather bike than either take the bus or drive.

If I had to choose between the two and there were a reasonably convenient bus route, I'd rather take the bus to reduce my carbon dioxide emissions.
Unfortunately, I would have to say drive because I like to be somehwere when I choose to be there. If I take the bus it would probably save natural resources but I won't be there on time and I would have to wait.
Honestly, if it were just based on preference alone I'd drive. I like the convenience, the fact that I go where I want to go, when I want to go, and I love to drive.

In reality, I don't want to have to drive, I don't want to use the fuel, and so I typically ride bikes or take the bus more than I drive. I don't even keep my car at my place and rather keep it at my parents' house not-running, so I can't drive it. This forces me to ride the bus and bike around because it is just better for everybody in general and sometimes I have to force myself to do what's best for everybody rather than what's most convenient for me. There's less traffic for drivers and I don't have to deal with the stress of being stuck on the freeway in the middle of rush-hour traffic. It takes me more time everyday, but we all win!
It depends on where I'm going, for short trips I take the bus to the train/subway reason: it saves fuel and usually I can get off the train much closer to where I'd be able to park.
then get off at the closest stop, but for long distance I go by vehicle. reason : it makes more sense fuel and economic wise
if it wasnt for the smelly people, the bus fare and the humid wheather in the bus i would ride the bus
I'm forced to drive because I live in a remote area. I'm not moving to an area with a higher cost of living just for public transportation, and nor do I even have the ability right now to move elsewhere.

If I lived in a larger city, or my town offered a shuttle, I would definitely take it. It's cheaper than a tank of gas, and it's better for the environment.
The bus route passes through the projects.
Slowly&saving money.
I take the bus because i am no longer safe.. sleep apnea. the few months before forced retirement i took ritalin to stay wake. after retirement i fell asleep at a stop sign..That did it..I find the bus enjoyable if your not in a rush.. We can get yearly and monthly passes her seniors and people who are challenged pay$ 45.00 a year. Its amazing the people you meet and sights you see,,,
