Chances of Survival of the mankind in view of Global Warming?
Answer:
I agree with the first answer, that it has happened before.
We are still here.
We will be fine. I don't buy the doom and gloom attitude. Scientist don't have a great record on a lot of issues. Science is in a constant state of learning. Many theories have been proven wrong. Many studies conflict one another. I don't think any scientist with a conscience can say the THEORY of man-made global warming is an absolute truth.
There is conflict amongst scientist on the causes of global warming. Here are some more positive points of view:
It has happened before.
Man will survive, but as the climate changes, poor countries who can't deal with the new weather patterns will experience HUGE catastrophes, like earthquakes, hurricanes, and flooding.
I think, even if mankind doesn't survive.come on, we'll be in the books like the dinosaurs!
just kidding.
...err that's hard to say, the human side of me wants to say, go go humans, but the earth side of me, says...bring on the change.
whatever happens, happens, it's pretty relevant that alot of people like to "pretend" like it isn't going to happen which is pretty immauture.
I think you are getting too overconcerned about this subject and so just for now enjoy what you have.Aw ime sounding like a parent who wants to protect and comfort his child. And they call me a radical greenie.
100%. Man is tough.
The question is not whether we'll survive global warming or not. It's about the quality of our lives.
Let global warming hit without reducing it, and our lives will be utterly dominated by coping with the effects. Not much fun.
Spend some money to reduce it and we'll go on pretty much like today. As fringe benefits toxic pollution and our dependence on foreign oil will also be reduced.
In my life time and my children and my grand children 100% we will survive. I really dont care what happens in say 10,000 years, heck, I dont care too much what happens in 200 years. Let them eat cake if they have no bread.
we're here, aren't we? that means some survived the last global warming
