*27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for....* Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August. It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am . It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

It's not true. Mars came to it's closest point a few years ago, but it was still just a bright pinprick in the sky. It will never look anywhere near as large as the moon.

NO POSSIBLE WAY! IT MAY BE BRIGHTER THAN ANY STAR BY FAR AND NOT FLICKER AT ALL BUT STILL REMAIN JUST A SPEC, NOT COVER A 3 DEGREE SPAN IN OUR SKY LIKE THE MOON, GET REAL!
Sorry to say you have been fooled by someone. It just isn't so.
We already have two moons. The other one is a very small- some odd feet in diameter- rock that is further out than the big moon. It comes and goes kinda like a yoyo in and out. Read about it years ago and haven't heard anything else about it since.
