What do you think about buying a cave for conserving the environment or even for a home?

In the south eastern USA caves are being sold to individuals for conservation/protection. A cave has the advantages of having the same temperature year around making it energy efficient. The lighting is solar powered. It is earthquake proof and it is decorated in early cave man motif. Some even have running water and marble features. What do you think of caves as environmentally friendly housing? Could they be a part of the environmental plan to save the planet?

Answer:
My grandfathers house is made with concrete and has 6 feet of dirt over the top except one side faceing south. He's lived in there when temps are below 0 or above 100 outside with no problems.
Is internet inside the cave? If yes, go for it!
I don't think I'm ready to regress back to the caveman days just yet, Wilma.
Living in a cave would be cool, but would not by it's self save the planet
I think living in a cave would be awesome!
I think it would also be a good way to keep Earth's natural surroundings the same..and not have them destroyed!
I don't think there are enough caves to make a big difference. But it sounds cool. I'd buy one if I had the money. I'm sure they are expensive.
Buying a cave is a great idea as long as your not going to destroy the natural beauty and disturb the animals that are living in it, i mean if you're going to buy a cave and play loud music and disturb tha aura in the cave then i dont think thats a good idea. But for good causes and to prevent it from being bought by money hungry industries then GO FOR IT!!!
How many of these are there? What's the deal, can people live there year round?

Do you think CAVES should be constructed in REFUGE FASHION for other creatures to help them? Once we get there?

REFUGE

All conservationists should live in caves.
Personally I think that caves are wonderful, there just aren't enough to go around.

A good alternative is to build most of your liviing area below ground in a basement type area. That minimizes your temperature fluctuations and the required heating and cooling.
Idea is great.Leads to great imagination.I think it Will work for me and I would love to buy it.As long as it has plenty of sunshine and a bathroom.
I think it sounds really good! so long as they dont flood! why not i say!
So in order to save the planet, we need to convert back to the way older times, kinda makes sense, if I get to keep my cell, and wireless internet, and the temperature is fine, oh yeah and it doesn't collapse, who cares?
