I don't know about grabbing the proceeds, but I will bet that UncleAl rode to his Gulfstream (which was probably sitting on the tarmac with engines running for a fast getaway) in a GIANT SUV, and went to one of his multi-tens-of-thousands sq foot mansions to burn up 250000 KWH.

The proceeds are sent to http://www.climateprotect.org and the amount will be announced this week. Although the concert used a lot of energy, they purchased carbon offsets to keep it green.
