How do you like living in tampa, fla?

quality of life? schools in river view, good or bad? people friendly? crime in river view? things to do? kid friendly? what about the taxes?

Answer:
It's so big, you really need to narrow it down to a section of tampa. There are awful places and really nice places there.

Edit: as far as taxes go, there are no state income taxes in Florida, you only pay federal. you'll like that, the sales tax is a little higher, but not by enough to be more than the income tax would have been.
I lived in Palm harbour which is really close and hated so I moved to IL
dont live there
Traffic is bad, but not as bad as Northern VA or Boston.
Schools are pretty good.
Riverview is south of Brandon, and a nice bedroom community low in crime. Easily accessible to the downtown area, but not crowded.
I like the people here a lot.
Taxes are low throughout Florida. No State income tax, moderate property tax, 7% sales tax.
For kids: several zoos, many parks, Busch Gardens, and not far from Orlando.
Public transportation is virtually non-existent, sorry.
I love it there. I visit often, and I think the traffic is very livable and it is a little cleaner than some other big cities I've been in. Lots of good food, too.
