How often do you think about your environmental impact??

I was talking to my dad the other night and he said that honestly---people don't care about the environment..I really am upset by this, I believe that we need to do everything we can to take care of the earth...I said that if most people were given the choice between say...a hybrid car and or an suv they would choose the more environmentally sound hybrid.he said that the only reason a person would choose a hybrid would be to save money...I just wanted to know how often you consider the damage you do to the environment

Answer:
I am really pleased you are thinking about your actions and how to live your life in the best way you can. You will find that some people are very interested in green issues, many others are not at all interested. That does not mean that you don't have to be.

More and more people have concerns about the environment. Any little thing we all do can help. Small drips make an ocean. Not only on the environment but on keeping costs down. For example, turning off lights and unplugging electrical items that are not in use. Remember that some people are greener than others, it does not matter. Just do what you think is best. And well done for thinking about these things.
I try to be environmentally aware every day. A lot of people are the same, a lot of people have a bad attitude and don't care though because they are being selfish.
I actually think about it a lot... Probably because I really care about the environment! I recycle and do as many other things as I possibly can (and can afford) to reduce my negative impact on the environment. If everyone made one slight change, it would have an enormous impact. I'd always pick a hybrid... not just because they're cheaper than an SUV. I'm not a huge fan of SUV's to begin with!
Hybrid may save fuel usage in the long run and saves the environment. An suv actually costs more than to get a hybrid. There are growing number of people concerning the issue of our environment. I for one. We recycle plastic, metal, and glass as much as we can. Compost our garden waste, switched lightings, and turn off lights when not in use. If we could afford solar panels or a hybrid car we would. There's cost involved. I don't understand why people out there are so busy keeping up with the Jones that they forget obout mother earth and future for our kids.
Not at all. I really doubt that I damage the environment any more than any other living creature.
At least once a day, I think about my environmental impact and what I can do to conserve energy even though if it's just a little bit. I feel that a little change is better than nothing.
